Great minds and all that.
I don't understand why he gets so much credit for the offense when his biggest contribution was letting Chaney run it without interfering.
Didn't know that. Remember a few pics of him drawing up schemes and had some 2nd/3rd hand info suggesting something different.
Did you have access or just your opinion? No ill will, honestly just wondering.
I cant disagree with this enough. Dooley was very hands on with offense and gameplanning from everything ive heard.
Chaney hasnt ran anything close to the offense like he ran here at Uga, Pitt, or Arkansas.
You guys very well could be right but I'm still gonna wait for the results.
VN has a way of giving a lot of credit when they like the coach and then claiming the same coach never did anything positive in their entire lives.. after their firing of course 😂😂😂
I definitely don't have access. But I have never heard about him ever calling plays, even as an assistant. As far as drawing up schemes, I would think every coach does some of that. Running an offense and calling plays is a different thing. Personally I always liked Dooley, but he is an awful coach who only ever had success as a recruiting coordinator for saban. Which in hindsight seems like he had little to do with that. And he calls his offense the wikipedia offense because he's learning it he goes. I would think most new OC's at least have a system designed before they get to that level.

2017 Missouri Tigers Football Schedule | Mizzou
Holy crap, no kidding.
Started 1-5, blown out by Carolina, Purdue, Auburn, and Georgia, while also losing to Kentucky.
Finished 6-1, beating Idaho, UConn, a lifeless Florida, a lifeless Tennessee, Vandy, and a lifeless Arkansas.
Final game was a bowl loss to Texas, 33-16.
No kidding, they're fools gold.
Only if that depression happens all the time. Some people just have to let off some steam sometimes my man.
SIAP. Always liked Andy Staples.

I realize he had some input into the offensive game plan, but Chaney was a huge part of our offensive success. He also inherited a pretty solid O-line and Bray was very talented. I will believe it when I see it with Dooley as an OC.
One thing I chuckled at...they interviewed Lock at SEC Media days, and asked him about the offense Dooley was implementing. Lock had a look on his face like he was truly searching for the right words, and replied "well...it's interesting" then paused and laughed saying "but, I'm having fun."
He went on to say they would slow the pace down, not be up tempo, not throw it all around the field, and be more deliberate.
I can just see Dooley tapping the brakes on the one advantage their offense had.
