I wanna see Tim Jordan run the rock hard in the 4th. Pruitt loves those physical one cut backs and I can see Jordan doing that.

Jordan was definitely a good find, but people are severely underestimating Chandlers physicality. I think just based on the fact that he looks skinny, folks think he’s just a speedy guy that will be good for a change of pace. But this dude does not go down easy. Watch any of his highlights from HS or from last season, he makes tacklers pay to bring him down. Up roughly 8-10 pounds from last year, and will only keep gaining, he’s going to be the man if i were putting money on it.

it would be nice to see an opposing defense standing around in between plays late in the game with their hands on their hips again. agreed.

Definitely RB by committee. I think we have 3-4 pretty good backs but not one great back. We’ll probably ride the hot hand in a lot of games.

agreed. and you've got different skill sets that allows you to still do what you want to do, almost regardless of which one you put in there.

If Chandler can top out around 210 he’ll be plenty big. Helton got tons of production out of Ronald Jones at USC and he’s not a very big back. Granted, Jordan reminds me a lot more of Jones than Chandler.

Chandler will have a role for us, though, for sure. He’s the most explosive RB we have. Maybe our most explosive athlete on offense period if Taylor and Thimpson stick on defense.

Just for reference, Ignont is now 6’2 239lbs. Chandler has put on some size 💪🏼

I like the previous poster's idea of a Kamara role for Chandler get him out in space.

London - pass protection, third down screens
Chandler - out in space back
Jordan - the punisher
Banks - ease him in late game carries

Apparently Urban requested Zach smith find a new place this past offseason and had him interview several places. Nobody would take him aka they did their background check probably and didn't like what they found. So he definitely knew about both charges despite his claim that he only knew about the 2009 one

Let’s not forget that we should have used Kamara as the main back all along 😉 and Kamara and Chandler were/are roughly the same size (in college)

Agreed, though I think Chandler can do a bit more than just be the out in space guy.

Will Muschamp on Pruitt’s staff: ‘They’re hard on the recruiting trail’ | Vols Wire

The third-year Gamecock head coach thinks “Jeremy will do an outstanding job” at UT.

Part of Muschamp’s thoughts on Tennessee’s future success on-the-field and in recruiting is based on the staff that Pruitt has put together.

“He’s got a really good staff in place,” Muschamp said. “They’ll do a good job recruiting. It all comes back to players. I know one thing, they’re hard on the recruiting trail.

“They’re doing an outstanding job. I know what quality coach he is and the guys he brought in on his staff. So they’ll do a good job.”

Not to nit pick, but he was 195 when he got to UT and weighed 210-215 when he left (same height). But you’re right he was a lot thicker than people realize, built like a brick house

Correct. He played last year at 215 and Chandler played at 195.

Now Chandler is also younger than Kamara so I think he can get to that 210-215 threshold in the next couple years (already up over 200). That’s plenty durable like you’re saying. You don’t need 230lb monsters in the SEC, but they are nice to have in the stable.
