Lol doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results if the definition of insanity.

Keep trotting JG out there and keep losing games you should win. It’s time to change something up. Our passing offense is limited to 90% WR screens, flats, and drags. South Carolina finally caught onto it and dared him to do something else and he couldn’t.

nine point dogs on the road with other team having a bye week to prepare but we were expected to win

only people who thought that was mostly those who are fans of the Vols

We dominated them most of the game. We were the better team. Idc what Vegas had the line at.

On to Charlotte game... things I'd like to see:

  • Figure out an offensive lineman combination, and run with it the whole game. Let some guys get comfortable and develop continuity.
  • Our linebackers are putrid. Lets get Jordan Allen, Jeremy Banks, and JJ Peterson some snaps. Would mental errors really be worse than watching guys get run over?
  • Give JG and Chandler a couple series, but then insert KC and whomever else at RB. Don't want to lose either to injury - JG could use a mini-bye week and TC got banged up a little last night. Besides, guys like KC and London should get some run if for no other reason than to help put their game on film, in hopes of maybe getting a training camp invite.
  • Line Jordan Murphy out wide and send him deep.
  • Throw the ball to DWA. I know our line sucks but surely we won't need to keep him in to block against Charlotte, will we?
  • Throw the ball to Tyler Byrd. I know he's low on the totem pole as far as WR rotation, but the kid has been blocking his ass off all year without complaining. Throw him a bone or two.
  • Throw it to Cedric Tillman. Played too much to qualify for a RS, so lets see what the kid can do. Hell.... give Calloway adn Jennings a short day like JG and TC and run our young or mostly unused receivers a little.

Outside of the first couple drives, we couldn't stop their run game at all. That's not dominating.

We were lucky to keep within striking distance, seeing as (literally or almost literally) every single sustained drive required us to convert multiple third downs.

DWA has been hurt who knows if he will play

Like your whining about JG week after week? That kind of "doing the same thing over and over again?

JG got us a 21-3 lead. I get the feeling you don't watch the games, so you might not be aware of this... but he doesn't play defense. Because it was the defense that cost us this game.

Re-read the post/article you just quoted. There is a reason KC was encouraged by his previous coach to leave. There's a reason why, 9 weeks in, he's not starting.

As much as you dislike JG, he is our best option right now. Deal with it.

Nope...not at all.
We were competitive the entire game against a team we should not have beat on their own field. We didn’t get blown out and they fought the entire game. Every week this team shows progress and passion...that keeps us in the game on the recruiting side. As long as this trend continues we will be feeling great come signing day. JP and the coaching staff are doing a really good job with the hand they were dealt. I feel sorry for any fan that can’t see that.
He was dealt a really short hand ,hopefully recruits can see the difference in the players Pruitt wants and needs to be successful in his system. I'm happy with the progress these coaches are making. Better every game, stick together they'll be hard to handle in 2 years.

If we are going to start blaming players, it starts with JJ....the unsportsmanlike on the td before half is inexcusable. It gave SC the ball pretty much at midfield and gave them tons of momentum when we had them on the ropes.

And you honestly do not know that since the one they picked up on waivers has only played meaningful minutes when JG was hurt against Bama during which time he lifted the team and led them to two TD's. We will never know if the best QB is playing if they do not play anybody else. To say he is the best is to place 100% blind faith in a new, unproven staff that has won only 3 of 8 games this season. Many of us have learned from the past decade not to have blind faith in coaches.
I think it's more like wishing the light will come on . We don't know what to expect from our other QBS for next year. JG may never get it but I sure wish he would. He has the arm just no pocket presents .

Lol you don’t watch if you think “JG got us a 21-3 lead” because at no point in the game was the score ever 21-3. And our offense has become limited to swings and screens. That was the entire case for keeping JG in... “Bc he can stretch the field”.... our OL played well last night. Did JG even complete a pass over 10 yards? I know he missed At least 3-4 deep outs on the sideline. He under threw Palmer when he had 3 steps on his defender... something he’s done all year.

How do you know he is our best option? KC looked okay when he came in against bama when JG couldn’t do anything? Like I’ve said before KC May come in and totally peterman the bed but at this point it’s worth a shot.

And that is only because of the QB and has nothing to do with the fact that we lack a true deep threat or that the OL has an average weight below 300 lbs and has been playing musical chairs with all season trying to find a combo of 5 guys who can avoid jumping off sides or blowing assignments on a consistent basis 🙄

The offense is limited in a lot of ways. QB hasn’t been great this year, but it’s been far from our biggest problem on offense. The offense wasn’t great last night, but it did enough that we should have won.

Gotta say, big difference in coming into a pressure situation where we have to win 2 of our remaining 3 conference games, and playing in relief after already being down 35 into the third quarter.

KC did play well against Bama, but he also played relatively poorly against the likes of ETSU and UTEP.
