I seriously can’t wait until some of this roster is purged.

Bye buchanan. Bye Shamburger. By Dillon. Etc etc etc.
I'm still holding out hope that Shamburger can put it all together eventually. He's got the physical tools to be productive for us. That's more than a lot of our guys can say. He's still just a sophomore.

No sense in reaching on guys last minute that will tie up the scholarship for four years and probably won’t ever contribute.

Sure - but the scholarships would have been available this year, not the last. Unless they counted Kennedy, London and Chryst toward last year. I’m not sure whether they did or didn’t.

But I’d rather have 3 four year projects than London or Chryst - two bench warmers. Kennedy was a good pick up - it’s just a shame we didn’t get to use him this year.

Chip Kelly's 3 seasons as a college football hfc include 3 conference championships, 2 Rose Bowls, and a BCSCG appearance. If anyone has earned the right to expect patience, it would be him. Pruitt hasn't done jack shite other than suck on the hind teat of some really good head coaches with loaded rosters. I don't know why you seem to think that mentioning one excuses the other. Apples and oranges.
Sucked in the pros sucks now...quit livin in the past scro! 😉

Helton did a remarkable job in dumbing down the O enough for JG to be serviceable yesterday to get 24 points on the board. But that was shut down in the last 20 minutes because USCe made better adjustments and Helton had nothing else he could do.
The first part here is nothing but speculation. You've no idea how much the offense has or hasn't been dumbed down. It actually seemed like we opened the playbook up more than we have all season and they trusted JG with some more RPOs than they have in previous games.

The bolded part is kind of disingenuous, too. We had two drives in the last 20 minutes of the game. We got 40 yards and got into position for a long FG on one of them. A false start put us into a bad position on the second one. USCe didn't really do anything special or out-adjust us on those drives. They just made fewer mistakes than we did.

Also, people whining about us only throwing screens and "50-50 balls" aka back shoulder throws.... thats literally all we can do.

We don't have an offensive line that'll hold for a deep pass play to develop, and even if we did, we don't have speed at the receiver position to get seperation.

This is wrong thinking. I think it's more of Pruitt knows what he has with JG and he's afraid KC will be more of the same
Or maybe they know what they have in KC, too, and don't want someone throwing floaters that SEC DBs can make breaks on. Hard to know exactly what the rationale is, but if they're still trotting out an obviously limited JG there has to be a good reason for it. I don't think they trust him to make the type of throws they want consistently.

You've gotta wonder when they'll consider giving KC a shot, though, since JG obviously isn't at 100%. If he can only go at around 75% once we get to UK, KC may be the best option.

We're pretty limited in a lot of ways at OL, QB, RB, and (to a lesser extent) WR.

I don't get people upset about the playcalls last night or complaining about us running so many screens and swing passes. It worked for a lot of the night. Helton had his best game as a playcaller, IMO. The defense couldn't hold up their end of things, though, we had too many dumb penalties, and a damn near blind crew of zebras out there.

Anybody putting last night squarely on JG isn't considering the loss from all angles. He had a part in it, yeah. With the game on the line, his lack of pocket awareness definitely hurt us. But he kept the chains moving for our offense all night and basically just had two bad drive at the end. He's obviously not a game changer or anything, but idk how many QBs not named Tua or Trevor Lawrence would lift the offense very high right now.

Does anybody know if Bituli is fully healthy? Seemed like he was out of the game a lot last night.

As bad as we've been setting the edge the past two weeks, part of me wonders if he gets a bit of a look at OLB eventually if they're gonna continue to give DK Jr and Sapp/Ignont so many of the reps at MLB. Idk if he's best suited there, but our OLBs seemed to struggle pretty badly holding up against the run last night.

Pretty simple. Some really bs personal foul penalties that were a stretch especially Jennings were killers. Awful timing in penalties ruined easy 3rd and short conversions that we likely make the way our game and short pass game we're working. Defense was brutal. We need a bigger body on the edge at OLB. Kongbo looking like a bigger loss than expected. Seeing why TK jr took so long to find way back in lineup. Good in run support but unbelievable huge liability in pass game. Need Abernathy and flowers back asap. Taylor leaving deebo on his td was awful we had Bentley sacked if he stays on deebo and doesn't leave him. Bentley was done for on that play. No review on fumble in red zone smh

People can say what they want but Jennings and Galloway have to be smarter. Jennings has to know that he can't do what he did. And yeah while Callaway's penalty might have been a stretch, the guy who retaliates is the one who always gets caught. People can talk abiut whatever improvments they want, but what this team has is a lack of discipline. From game 1 to now thus team has no discipline and that I blame on the HC
