With 3 SEC games left, I think we win a close one, win one convincingly (Vandy), and lose one badly.

6-6.
We need UK to lose this week, so that maybe we will have the refs in our corner trying to help us get bowl eligible. If they upset UGA, you can forget us having a chance to win that game...the refs won’t allow it.

Looking for a let down this week from UGA. It's their toughest remaining game. Unfortunately for Ky, they won't score more than 10-13...GA by 2 tds.

Man, folks don't like being told Tennessee isn't an all time top ten program. Y'all know you're the only ones who feel that way, right? No one outside of Tennessee people view the Tennessee program in that light.
so now we have confirmation....

So the obvious question then is, What people do you represent then, "chief vol"?

Tbh I dont think hes a troll, hes just an eternal pessimist like me :)

You don’t come across as an arrogant, douche nozzle who professes to always be right (definitely wasn’t right about Auburn, among several other topics). He tries to talk down to other because he’s a “realist”. He’s insufferable is what he is.

But how do you really feel about it, Sarge? Might need your morning coffee first. :)

What are the several other topics? Yeah, I was wrong about Auburn. So was 99% of the country.

Just a thought that has crossed my mind.

South Carolina lost a game due to hurricane. They still have to play Ole Miss , Florida, Chattanooga, and Clemson. Going into the game last night they were 3-3.

They had to have a win last night to get a bowl game.

SEC gave their all last night

Zero penalties, obvious missed calls.

Yep, it's all about the $$$ in college football.

Stanford is 105th in total offense. Let’s not act they are some juggernaut now. All we do is throw screens and underneath and will very occasionally throw up a 50-50 ball. I would rather have the guy that has the quicker clock operate this offense.

Yep. Receivers made most of the plays against Auburn. JG missed some big throws down field against SC. He's not someone that can will us to a win (ty Josh Dobbs). Need to start KC and try at least.

Time to move on guys. Homecoming week versus Charlotte. Things to keep an eye on:

1. Homecoming week focus: Coming off a brutal 5 game stretch for the Vols, probably the toughest 5 game stretch any team will face all season, how will Tennessee's focus and enthusiasm be for a game against a Charlotte team that won't have the measurables to compete on paper? Just last week Charlotte beat a Southern Miss team that played Auburn to a 4Q game earlier in the season, so they are capable of hanging in if the Vols aren't focused this week.

2. Stopping the Run: South Carolina got their running game back on track against the Vols on Saturday, and that was one of the biggest factors in their 12 point comeback. The Vols play a Kentucky team in two weeks that is dedicated to beating you with the run. Charlotte runs a spread system, but likes to run the ball out of it. It will be a good tune up for the Vols D, and hopefully will give them some momentum heading into the Kentucky game.

3. Keep Developing Depth and Confidence: There should be opportunities for players down the depth chart to get valuable reps on Saturday. If things go according to plan, we can hope to see Jordan Murphy, Carlin Fils-Aime, Tyler Byrd, and Cedric Tillman get some run on offense. Defensively, we can hopefully get Matthew Butler, Theo Jackson, Will Ignot, Jordan Allen, Jeremy Backs and maybe JJ Peterson some quality snaps.

4. How Does Pruitt Rebound: Similar to the focus referenced above, it will be interesting to see how Pruitt is able to clear the lingering disappointment from the South Carolina from his mind and get refocused on Charlotte, and finishing the season strong. Hopefully he looks at this week as an opportunity to blow the doors of a lesser opponent, and give his team some confidence heading into the home stretch of games. All four of our remaining games are winnable for this Vols team. It will be telling to see what Pruitt can get out of his boys this week, and will likely be a sign of how we'll finish.

7-5 is still realistically out there. To get there, it will need to start with a focused and thorough beat down of Charlotte.

I'm staying with him at the hospital now. He's resting comfortably. His pain management has consisted of a lidocaine patch, a lidocaine drip, and hydrocodone. He slept really well last night, from 12 midnight to 8 am. He woke up in a tremendous amount of pain. The nurse said that probably going so long without the hydrocodone probably didn't help. He has to request it. I helped him get a bath and shave tonight and I think that helped him. We also ran and bought him some underwear at his request and that's made him more comfortable. I was really worried about him this morning because he was having trouble taking a deep breathe because of his pain. Hoping today was his worst day being the third day.

I appreciate so much you asking about him and I appreciate all my VN friends praying for him. If y'all knew my dad you'd have a new friend. I don't know of anyone that hasn't loved him immediately upon meeting him. Yesterday his nurse had him walking around. She was carrying his oxygen bottle and was struggling a little. Dad let go of the walker with one hand and asked if he could carry it for her. He's a much better man than I'll ever be.

He's also, literally my best friend. He has the patience of Job. Many know that my mom suffers from Alzheimer's and he almost single handily cares for her, refusing outside help. I've got him to take her to an adult daycare twice a week. My mom loves it and I told him that another day/week wouldn't be a bad thing. He says "Nope, 2 days is enough". I have mad respect for my dad.

Glad your Father is healing up. The last part about him caring for your mom I so identify with. The only difference is my mom takes care of my dad and he is getting worse by the day with his dementia. Just hope we get through all the holidays. Still praying for your dad recovery and your mom.

The refs do not “have it out” for Tennessee. They might be bad at their jobs but it’s not to intentionally spite one team or another.

That’s a loser’s excuse.
I am not saying that it is just Tennessee, but I fully believe the refs are told to favor certain teams at certain times for certain reasons. Take the Kentucky versus Missouri game on Saturday for example… If that is defensive pass interference on Missouri, then there is no way that that is not offensive pass interference against Kentucky. I do not gamble, but I would be willing to bet that Georgia gets favored with calls on Saturday against Kentucky, because the SEC knows that a Georgia versus Alabama championship game will bring in a lot more money than Alabama versus Kentucky. Also, if Kentucky loses, the refs will most likely favor us in the game next Saturday, because It will give us a much better chance to make it to a bowl by winning that game, thus bringing more money into the SEC. You can be naïve or not, but it is as clear as daylight that favoritism occurs in certain games.
