Watch other games. The end of the UK-Missouri game was atrocious. To determine that officials favor the higher seed, you need to watch other games. That tends to be the case. You can also watch the end of our Auburn game. SEC officiating is a serious problem, has been for years, and won’t get fixed. That says the conference doesn’t care because they like the results.

Refs get just one of those right, and we win the game.

It's was pretty clear the problem vs South Carolina. If you can't see that this staff can coach their butt off to get what they are getting from these kids then you should quit now and not enjoy the future. There is just too much of a double standard with SEC refs. If you are going to call that phantom PI on us Saturday fine, but then it has to be PI against SC against Palmer. Same with Kentucky and Missouri, if that is Missouri PI in the end zone then you HAVE to call the push off on the Kentucky TD. The problem is they don't and whether true or not it creates a huge perception of favoritism when you call a ticky tack foul on one team then let the other team get away with it. And don't even get me started with targeting that is an atrocity that can be called on the smallest of baby taps but let a SC player ear hole our running back with the crown of the helmet and "nothing to see here". The most ridiculous part of that is they have the ability to review that and throw the flag after the play or pick it up and STILL get it wrong most of the time.

I honestly felt we could end on a high not and win out to finish 8-4, but after that loss, I'm not even gonna go there again. We will be lucky to get bowl eligible, and I mean damn lucky!

Last year It was miserable to watch this team even play Vandy or umass or whatever other scrub. This year it's actually fun to watch this team again after beating auburn on the road and having South Carolina on their heels all game with a wtf is that OL to work with.

Step 1 was making TN fun again to watch. Mission accomplished imo. Step 2 get to bowl and finish recruiting strong. We shall see but I'd venture to say recruits can easily see they can be developed at TN again

We didn't go flat. We were outmanned on defense. Didn't have the dudes to stop what they wanted to do. South Carolina came off a bye week and we came off Bama. Who do you think has fresher legs coming off that? Offense still moved the ball but had costly errors. This whoa is me bs is amazing.

We can easily win out or win 3 of 4. We could also go easily 2-2 or 1-3. But I guarantee you this team won't go out like a bitch like our fans appear to be.

i think the fact that folks are blaming losses on refs is actually a sign of progress.

i don't get the coaching angle really at this point. i thought offensively, it was probably their best game from a game planning and play calling standpoint.

defensively, i think there are some things they'd like to have back, but at the end of the day, we didn't do enough at the LB spot to stop the run enough to put USCe in bad spots offensively. make them throw. even down 2 scores, they were still able to run the ball effectively enough to not have to put it in Bently's hands.

if our run defense regresses again at the end of the year, like it has the past couple, then we'll experience similar results.

gotta get that fixed. we've been pretty good against hte run this year, relative to the last couple years, and we can't go backwards now.

the penalties on the O line was tough to watch. but aside from that, i thought they actually played pretty well physically. but it was apparent they weren't all there mentally. waay too many penalties on offense.

this team, has gotten better. and if pruitt did make mistakes, well, we've been talking about it all year, but i know i wondered how they'd do in a tight game with managing situations. i don't think they were bad mind you...but i'm sure you could find some stuff to pick on in the 2nd half.

the last thing i'll say is that we already went thru 5 years of finding ways to lose games we could have won.

this is the first one for Pruitt and co. just don't need to see that trend continue.

It was a hard fought competitive game and at the end of the day South Carolina in yr 3 of muschamp felt lucky to survive yr 1 Pruitt. That's yr 3 defense muschamp that couldn't step a patched up TN offense. We stopped ourselves.

We have to remember this is a South Carolina team that was expected talent wise to compete for east. They just got Wonnum back. They can easily finish strong with wins over ole miss and flordia. Not out of the question.

I hate losing but I didn't see the coaches as the reason we lost. I saw player deficiency. I saw a team that rarely gives up easy deep long balls give up multiple with an obvious factor being todd Kelly on one leg as the difference. I saw slow Lbs such as 1 leg DK Jr not able to reach the edge. I saw light OLbs unable to hold their edge. You can't coach around these things all the time without someone eventually taking advantage

What stands out to me on this is it didn't take the staff several weeks to get him into gameplan. Butch would active it was too hard to get Berry a single play on offense. We got CFA involved in a week on simple jet sweeps.

i agree. i don't think the DL played all that bad either. our LB's just didn't have a good night at all.

and the stupid penalties. i don't think the refs were great either. but the called penalties, save maybe the bucannon PI, were all legit, and cumulatively had an effect on the outcome of the game. 75 yards given up on penalties. we're not good enough to do that and overcome it.

More teams bowling more money

I’m not saying they are picking on us. I’m saying they are protecting their interests. Could actually benefit in the coming weeks. South Carolina had to win that game. We are approaching that territory.
