i agree. i don't think the DL played all that bad either. our LB's just didn't have a good night at all.

and the stupid penalties. i don't think the refs were great either. but the called penalties, save maybe the bucannon PI, were all legit, and cumulatively had an effect on the outcome of the game. 75 yards given up on penalties. we're not good enough to do that and overcome it.
OLBs were pretty bad setting an edge against the run.

yeah. this place has gone a little nuts since Saturday night.

losing sucks. and there are reasons why we lost.

that doesn't mean it's a referendum on the state of the entirety of the program or on the coach's career path.

so much over reaction....the only reality there is, is that we're simply not good enough to overcome some of the mistakes that were made. it was clear to me that for a good portion of that game, we were the better team. and we executed the game plan we wanted to execute.

but as thin as we are on both lines of scrimmage, you can't give up 75 yards of field position on penalties. those are drive killers or drive builders for your opponents offense, and we can't give stuff away like that.

we won the TOP, we won the turnover battle, we got off to a good start finally. we led at half time and it was a 1 poessesion game with a chance to win late.

in a game like that, you just can't have the penalties, and you can't make it easy on their defense when it puts you in obvious situations, and you sure can't let their offense off the hook by giving them cheap yards or improved field position.

my biggest concern is tthe run D. really don't need that to rear it's ugly head again late in the season.

siap, but i'm way more interested now in how they responde to a game like this. we should have won. we didn't. what do we do with that going forward?
All good points. I still am somewhat encouraged. But I want to see more from Pruitt before I am thinking he is our answer. The games are so much more fun to watch. I don't think I have missed more than a few plays all year.

If I am reading the ESPN schedule for this week correctly, UT vs Charlotte is not being shown on any of their network channels. Is that correct? I thought maybe SEC Alternate Channel? Thanks.

It's apparently coming on an alternative channel, here. (I have Dish)

no one knows if he's the answer or not. and it'll be a while before we do know one way or hte other.

i do think he's got the right make up and philosophy to be a good head coach. we'll see if it works out that way.

Kentucky... win or lose vs Georgia we will be playing for a chance to win a second ranked team against them next weekend.

lol

It's ok hitch up with them when it works for you and criticize them the rest of the time. Kind of makes your takes very disingenuous but carry on with the hypocrisy if you choose

If you think that post had anything to do with the validity of PFF you are even dumber than I thought 😂

PFF sucks, I’m sorry I hurt your feelings by pointing that out. Do you forgive me?

It's called creating your argument. I use it all of the time in my job.

Plus, even if Tabor weren't truly last, he still isn't first:)

I know PFF has flaws but they are waaaay better than us hacks on a message board.

Like you say I am sure Tabor is having a very bad go of it. Glad PFF is there to give us some concrete data to prove he sucks.

I see that UCLA has number one strength of schedule. Neither one of us is doing too well. Except for maybe Bama, I don't think many teams do that well with such a schedule as we have. It just wears you down. Yes, it's an excuse but it's a good one.

UCLA has mostly FR and Sophs in the two-deep. Pruitt will be doing the same thing next year. He'll be playing his recruits all over the field and trying to season talent quickly.
