Don't think that was his point. His point wasn't really even critical against the staff more at Rob Lewis. The minute we become ok with barely losing to SC then we've made the transition to Vandy.Just saying. There's only so much bitching we can do. Like, someone yesterday was talking about being some "sheep" (ikr) because he thought JG lost us the game or whatever. Like, we're fans, even if we're "woke" (I know I know), we're... fans.. Really nothing for us to do. Gonna #BoycottNeyland again? Gimme a break.
2 things here:
1. This is total speculation with no supporting evidence.
2. If that was really the case, why not give KC the start last week when it was obvious JG was hampered by injury? We’ve seen the staff change starters all over the field on a weekly basis, but QB has been on of the few spots they’ve only given the backup a run in garbage time or because of injury.
So it seems like either there’s a legitimate reason they don’t want to play KC over JG, or they’re bowtowing to a players who’s been average-ish all season.
I’m leaning towards the former, because nothing in KC’s career has shown him to be any better than the QB play we’ve see this season. But maybe you’re right and this is a foreboding sign for this staff. Year one is mighty early to be handing out PT to a lesser player because of flight risks.
We know what we get with JG at QB.
Let KC start against Charlotte and see what he can do with this O over the course of a whole game.
If all of this is true (and I believe it is), then yes, the officials did or didn’t do things that aided our loss. One single thing alone (reviewing an obvious fumble and TN recovery at the goal line) makes for an 8 point difference in the game. That lost us the game.My thoughts on the officiating....
I don't believe we lost the game because of the officials. I do believe there is a bias in officiating. I do think we got the short end of many calls Saturday. Remember, it's not just the calls that they call against you, it's the ones that they don't call against your opponent. SC having only 2 penalties for 9 yards is pretty telling. By the strictest letter of the law, the PI against Buchanan was PI. But the same standards were not applied to the SC dbs. They literally had the same level of physicality against our receivers on every passing play. The refs can and do allow one team or another to play more physical than another. Jmo
In 2016 with a top Heisman hopeful, top 10 pick at RB for opponents to focus on against 5 losing teams that went a combined 19-41, sure he did.Im just saying it has played a part but if there was one thing KC did it was win.
The whole JG vs KC argument is pointless and a wash at this point. We all have our sides and it’s not going to change. The bigger question is if you feel comfortable going into next year with JG as your starter. In hopes of getting to realistically probably 7-5 or 8-4.
No they can't. The timeout only gives the refs more time to look at the play but the refs never intended to look at that play. Probably ever again

After Saturday I’m glad we have Tyson, that was masterful.
