Nicholson's character in The Departed was loosely based on him.Didn’t catch the eye gouging detail! Medieval! He was an informant for the FBI for 10 years but it seems that he steered them towards his enemies and didn’t reveal anything family related. Guess there was some major cred to be gained to offing him...mob or not.

Don't know if this will already be answered as I am behind on the thread, but I was 5 rows from the TN sideline, behind the bench at the SC game and Shrout and Chryst were playing toss to each other several times (right before an offensive series). Did not see McBride.
