I agree. But patience is something we lack as a fan base. I know, some will jump in and say, "how can you say we lack patience when we're still here after all we've been thru?". That's not patience. We whined and complained every step of the way. Think about it, half way thru his first season we were already scrutinizing every word CJP says and criticizing what we don't agree with. Half way thru his first season some are already doubting that he's the right guy. Luckily it's been relatively few fans doing so, but we do have them. And the numbers will increase with every game that doesn't meet someone's expectations. I love the Vols, but I would never want to be the coach here. I understand perfectly well why Peyton wants no part of it. As someone here said a few days again, we are the best fans in cfb and the worst.
The only thing I'm sure of is that before CJP is done here he will be the most hated hc we've ever had; and it will largely be because of his Bama ties. Some are already chomping at the bits for opportunities to attack.
So the players all of a sudden weren’t good enough to produce against Charlotte after producing against auburn and SC on the road.... no chance the coaches has a lazy and piss poor game plan on offense?
Maybe the coaches wanted them to improve on something they aren't great at against the weakest opponent remaining. Or maybe the players did not put forth any effort. Or maybe they really are just not good enough. Maybe the fans don't really know much about what is going on and are just guessing from what we see. Maybe the fans just like to argue about it.The QB getting hit doesn’t always fall on the OL....so again i ask... why ask your OL to continue to do something they aren’t great at. You did fine moving the ball relying on short and quick passing game so why go away from it? That’s on the coaches.
Soda I'm gonna have to argue with you about this statementMaybe the coaches wanted them to improve on something they aren't great at against the weakest opponent remaining. When the unending refrain before Fall camp was that “Chryst didn’t transfer to the other side of the country to SIT”? I and others stated that Pruitt and Helton promised him a CHANCE to compete for the starting spot...and nothing else. That’s played out the way it looks. I was more keen about landing Gardner Minshew, who ended up at Washington State but ruled us out. Obviously that was a byproduct of Pruitt not SELLING a starting spot that needed to be won.So what is the outlook on KC? If he didn't play yesterday, he probably won't see the field again this season. Can only imagine what this kid is thinking... could have actually played somewhere else this year... this has basically been a waste for him. You can either be in the KC or JG camp, that is fine, but I think KC was sold a bill of goods.
And don't say JG has played at that much of a higher level to keep KC off the field. I know we have two more years of JG and they are giving him experience, but they haven't even given KC a chance during a game to prove he can play... wait, NM, he came in against AL and put points on the board and moved the offense down the field...
Now it's "NEAR complete control."Yes. Tennessee had near complete control of that game
Since you're blind and running on emotion I'll quote this for youNow it's "NEAR complete control."
Not what you said in the beginning; but, I'll let you slide, because I expect nothing less...you seem like the type of person who backtracks and flip flops, and talks out his/her ass, to cover up the bs you say before. Not to worry, you are not alone...you're not the only windbag who does this.
Auburn marched up and down the field on their first two possessions and scored points, and there was nothing we could do to stop it...14 plays, 75 yds on opening drive...10 plays, 73 yds on their second drive; not to mention, they led at halftime...we never led once in the first half. But, yeah, whistle to whistle.
I never changed my stance. You just had selective reading.Point is that game wasn't a last second victory. These players you are enjoying bashing right now had complete control of that game near first whistle to last whistle.
I think the legacy advantage narrative is overstated. Kelly, Wharton, Bates, McKenzie and Creamer. Only 5 star was Khalil and Kelly has been the most productive...without being great. Hurd and Barnett were the real jewels of Butch’s classes. Will be interesting to see if Pruitt can recruit on his reputation and coaching skills. Jones had the advantage for a while of a surge of talented legacies.
That's all?!
No matter how you worded it, or how wrong I read it...you're still wrong, sweetheart.Since you're blind and running on emotion I'll quote this for you

Vegas doesn’t overreact from week to week like all of the football experts around here do. They know this team isn’t as bad as they showed against Charlotte, but probably not as good as they showed against Auburn.
Kentucky is nothing special, about the same as us, Carolina, Mizzou, and Vandy. All those teams can beat the other on any given day. Just a handful of breaks going your way will decide the game. If we play our best game, we have a good chance of winning any of these last three. Just as easily, we could lose all three. Simple as that.
