He hasn't said that, but I wouldn't be surprised if he does. That's cool and all, but I personally don't think it'll happen.

We’ll win 8-9 next year if we add the kind of players we’re looking at now. KY will go back to the cellar. They’re losing everyone that makes them decent. Missouri is losing Lock. Vandy who already isn’t good is losing Shurmur. Our crossover team is Ms State. Aren’t they losing Fitz? And we’ll have them at home. We play BYU not a playoff contender in WVU also. Schedule sets up much better next year and we should see Pruitt’s culture change really taking hold next season also.

We *should* win 8 or 9, I’m just not sure this recruiting class is the biggest factor pointing to that fact.

Butch's tenure was worse. Dooley was only here three years. It's true he left us without much OL depth and his other recruits were a step lower than other SEC teams. His teams were never going to get over the hump because he just couldn't recruit. But his tenure was short.

Butch was here 5 years, left us with limited resources, and gave us a public perception black-eye. The "Champions of Life" nonsense, player abuse allegations, 8 loss season, and misuse of the good recruits he was able to attract left us in a really bad place moving forward. Not only do we have to rebuild the roster, we have to rebuild our reputation.

I hope that fool never gets another chance to be a head coach.

Yes, and I acknowledge and apologize that the gif is in poor taste. It is a very very sad situation. But for some reason I thought of that commercial when I saw the headline.

Who has predicted we will win 10 next year? @Bassmaster_Vol is excited about the recruiting class because the news has been positive lately. If I had to predict right now, I would say we win 7-8. We still will have too little depth and talent along both lines. That will improve as the year goes on, IMO. Like you, I think 2020 may be our break out year. Some people on here are saying 6 years, and that could be right, but I don't think it will take that long.

Infusion of talent coming but we're gonna be young on bother lines of scrimmage. Should have some depth and talented players outside that though.

2020 looks better roster wise, but the schedule kicks back up that year.

See how it goes.

Call me crazy but Miss state scares me more than any east team next year. 2nd year under Moorhead.

I think we're in the 7-9 win range next season. Schedule actually doesn't look bad. I'm most concerned with our lines on both sides again next year.

Yea I’m really high on Joe Moorhead. He saved franklins arse. He is one of the best offensive minds in football. As a jets fan with a young talented qb it wouldn’t hurt my feelings if we went after him after we fire Bowles

On offense we would have 2 5 star tackles who are already over 300 pounds starting. I still believe Carvin will be good after a year in S&C and in this system. Plus we get Kennedy back. OL should improve big time next year with this talent infusion.

At receiver we potentially add 2 of the best receivers in the country, including the number 1 receiver in Haselwood. He brings tremendous speed to that position day one. Add them to Callaway, Palmer and the other guys there and man, WRU is back.

At RB we’ll have Chandler back and maybe Banks if they keep him at RB. Then we could potentially add Beasley and Gray at that position if not Crouch.

On the DL many close to his recruitment are predicting we flip Eboigbe. Add him to Mincey and Gooden who have shown promise. Emerson will finally be healthy and will have been here a year. Then add the jucos guys Williams and Middleton.

But the big improvement on defense comes at LB. this group has potential to be amazing with JJ Peterson already here, of course Taylor is coming back also. Then if we add Pappoe, Crouch, Henry, and Henry To that is an embarrassment of riches at one of the biggest positions of need we have. Don’t forget about Banks either.

At corner, we have two of the best freshmen in the country already. Add to them Burrell, Pruitts top choice, then Fields, and Watson. Oh yeah, at safety, one of my favorite recruits in McCullough to add to Warrior and Trevon Flowers another promising freshman.

Great summary- hopefully we can get most of those kids... Don't forget there's a chance JJ stays at WR, you left out Jordan who will get better at RB, and Ignont at LB is improving every game with Sapp and Bituli...

I like Moorhead as well. Not sure I do as good as you though. That game will be tough next year, along with BYU IMO.

Who will play QB for them next year? I am sure it will be his guy, but I am not sure that they have the playmakers on offense to take advantage of his offensive mind.

My sympathies on being a Jets fan, that's as tough a life as being a UT fan, and while I think he is a talented offensive mind in the game, he loses WAY too much talent to graduation this year for me to be more concerned about Miss St. than I am about Georgia and Florida
