Who will play QB for them next year? I am sure it will be his guy, but I am not sure that they have the playmakers on offense to take advantage of his offensive mind.

Idk but i was wrong on Fitz. He isn’t the same post injury. He is honestly holding them back. Wouldn’t shock me if they went the transfer route.

I think they'll still be tough. Moorhead is a really good coach, and of course Bobby Shoop's defense will be serious.
I'm just not ready to be scared of a2019 opponent that's losing a lot off that front 7 and their qb.

We'll have our issues, granted. But we'll be returning a lot more and we'll be in year 2 as well.

And it's at home.

Great summary- hopefully we can get most of those kids... Don't forget there's a chance JJ stays at WR, you left out Jordan who will get better at RB, and Ignont at LB is improving every game with Sapp and Bituli...
Also left out Jordan Allen who I still think has a future here. I forgot that Bituli is back also

Butch's real legacy...
  • Preston Williams, CSU: 71 catches, 951 yards, 8 TDs, Biletnikoff Award Watch List
  • Jalen Hurd, Baylor: 57 catches, 756 yards, 4 TDs, Biletnikoff Award Watch List
  • Vic Wharton, Cal: 40 catches, 394 yards, Biletnikoff Award Watch List
  • UT's first 8-loss season in school history in 2017
  • Alvin Kamara, backup running back at UT, offensive rookie of the year in the NFL in 2017, MVP candidate in 2018
Could Butch have been more destructive to our program? It's almost like he was doing it on purpose.

Just sickening.

The near undermining of a man’s career in one Bob Shoop has to be in there somewhere.

Yeah a bunch of ifs and maybes don't get you anywhere in this league. Typical Bassmaster. He'll have us at 10 or 11 wins before the start of next season.

And you with your typical negative Eeyore BS, with old man G-rated phrases like doo-doo and poo-poo and "running through us like doo-doo through a goose... isn't that what Snell is gonna do?

I mentioned the others because unlike years past, we finally have a real coaching staff who will actually develop players. Guys like Jordan and Ignont are still young and are no doubt athletes... they just need to be coached up.

God me and ziti argued about that forever. Tried to tell him Shoop was good. Just didn’t want to listen.
Well if folks would just examine what he's done at Vanderbilt, Penn State, Tennessee and now Mississippi State, it's clear that one of those isn't like the others. I continue and probably always will believe that Jones was the problem.

Tee Higgins, Amari Rodgers, Trevor Lawrence

This game will tell us all we need to know about Tyson Helton.

He needs to know where josh Allen is every play. Part of this falls on JG to by sliding protections but we need to keep a TE/RB on his side most of the game, 95% of our passes need to be 3 seconds and the ball is out or some kind of screen, and maybe rolling the pocket away from him.

He is a great player but you can scheme around a single great Edge on a DL which he is all Kentucky has.

This game will be very very telling.

A lot of State fans were calling for their back-up this year.

Keytaon Thompson-- in limited action against 2 G5's and an FCS:

15/35, 397 yards, 5 TD's, 1 INT
19 carries, 204 yards, 10.7 ypc, 4 TD's

I don't think they'll see too much of a drop off at QB. But their front 7, specifically Sweat (and maybe Simmons declares early) could see some shake-up.
