I should have known many here couldn't have a civil honest discussion of questionable decisions of a game where the outcome was favorable.

Carry on but I damn sure how we try for a FG next time we are in the spot instead of a hail marry

Wouldn't it have been a 58 yarder if we try the FG (ball at 41)? The Hail Mary has the same odds. Coaching decision is a push.

As for the punt, time was our best friend and making them go to 90 yds was assisting us winning. Good coaching here.

Edit - - - I read on we were talking about different punts.

It would have been a 56yd kick but I never said to kick it. I was saying run a short quick pass play then kick

Great to see Pruitt adjust on the fly there.

He learned from his mistake in the USC game.

Hail Mary was the right call I think
Say you don’t get enough or it’s incomplete. Kentucky knows what’s next and they can prepare, But by doing the Hail Mary a play early without burning your timeout they couldn’t set up their defense. They thought short routes or quick pass. Watch the replay. They had all 3 linebackers standing 10 yds off the line of scrimmage protecting the middle of the field thinking we were settling for the fg. We also didn’t sub after the previous play so they couldn’t or didn’t.

And this is what I mean by gutsy calls. Sometimes you have to accept risk and play to win.

I’m just sitting here trying to mind my own business, and here goes JG, becoming an upper half SEC QB as a sophomore

☕

Extremely proud of him.

I hate that we have even discussed a QB controversy. For some odd reason it's made me really have a bad taste in my mouth for KC. Last week I started following him on twitter and man he comes across as a great stand up guy.

This is a really good point.
