I get where you're going with this thinking. But...this roster, specifically the OL, is soooooo bad, I just cant see how you can criticize too much just yet. I mean, had this been year 3 after 3 top 10 signing classes I would agree. Just hard for me to judge the job any one could with this team in year 1.I think most of us can agree that Helton has a poor year. And most of us were expecting him to be fired.
So for me it seems really odd that a school would want him for their head coach.
They must know something that we don’t.
Normally a coordinator gets let go and they take an assistant role like QB coach. They don’t normally slide into another coordinator role and they certainly don’t get an upgrade to head coach.
They must feel CJP really held him back.
That raises a red flag for me.
I really hope that he doesn’t get in his own way and micromanage the offense so much that it can’t be successful.
That is my biggest fear.
...
If CJP were conservative with his purposed offensive mindset, then why did he onside kick so many times? I believe CJP is a gunslinger and wants a balanced attack that can move the ball at will, no matter how it gets done.
Like them or not they were well designed plays. Wish they would have worked but they rarely do.I think Pruitt tried more onside kicks this year because he knew he had to jumpstart something as our margin of error for winning was so small due to our roster. I think he felt he had to be more aggressive at times than he wanted to be. That being said, I can't remember too many of the onside kicks that would have been ridiculously aggressive as they seemed to make sense based on situation.

Hah I know man. I’ve seen multiple Neuro’s, had MRI’s, & tried multiple migraine medicines but no luck. That’s really not good... at all.
Do they know what triggers the migraines?Hah I know man. I’ve seen multiple Neuro’s, had MRI’s, & tried multiple migraine medicines but no luck.
So its like do I wanna wake up & have headaches everyday or take the goody’s and deal with the stomach issues down the road. Even though they don’t work most of the time either.
I agree. We had people not even lining up correctly. Multiple times in the same game. I feel like there is a long list of things that need to be fixed before we can say that we are worried about his offensive philosophies.Maybe just maybe our OL and QB and TEs held back offense not the HC. Amazing how people literally think we can judge without a shadow of doubt his philosophy based on yr 1. There wasn't anything wrong with the scheme. There was an execution and talent problem.

Bama’s offense will take a step back when Tua leaves. No doubt about it. A great running offense centered around great OLine play/recruiting is going to have a higher floor every time. That’s how Saban built that team and that should be priority number 1 imo. Get a great QB? That’s just icing on the cake.Nah. I don't want a UGA 2.0 conservative offense.
Give me a legit dual threat Tua qb. The one that can beat the nation with one good leg.
