After talking to a few people, I think Lindsey is the guy. I think we’re holding for him to make his decision. He really likes it at Auburn - he’s had two stints there and grew up in Alabama - and turned Pruitt down last year for the OC spot.

He sees the writing on the wall at Auburn with Gus but he also thinks he’s got a good shot at the HC position or to be retained by a new head coach.

Pruitt is pushing for an answer from him as soon as possible.

If Auburn fires Malzahn, it won’t be to hire Chip Lindsey. If he was smart he would get out of Auburn.

Thing about Hubbs is the way he handles himself. Compare to Hyams or Adams. Those two are just your normal, incompetent leftist journalism school product. Total dickheads that act like they hate covering sports.

Hubbs is a sports guy through and through, treats people with respect, asks thoughtful questions, and you can tell he thinks long haul, which is why he succeeded. I wish he was the voice of the Vols instead of Kessling.

I still think its funny when hes wrong though, but hell who wouldnt be? Especially in this farce of a program for the last ten years. Think about the bumbling idiocy he's had to cover, like a dog chasing its tail most days.

Am I wrong in thinking even before Auburn that Lindsey was more of a spread/air raid guy? I just don't see why that's a guy Pruitt would put at the top of his list... I get that they're boys or whatever but still, he seems pretty attached to this pro-style offense philosophy doesn't he?

@amazingGRACE I've had an issue with migraines my whole life I'm not sure what ur line of work is or if you would be up to it but I had a conch and tragas peircing done and I've gone from having migraines about everyday to once or twice every three to four months it's basically a permanent accupuncture treatment

I worked with an editor who had them really bad and she started botox injections and that really seems to help her.

As you all know I have never claimed to have any inside info but I do have some friends that are connected. I never ask them for information because I don’t want to be that guy but from what I’ve been told I feel pretty confident saying that I think Lindsey is the guy. Could be wrong and I guess we’ll see but I think it’s him and soon.

You’re right, but apparently he has also had some great rushing attacks as well.

I don’t think the “scheme” matters so much to Pruitt as the ability to run the ball and extend drives.

Well, this is bologna. No way Lindsey is considered for head coach at Auburn

That's about right. We are on the second full day of a coaching search, not counting Monday as a full day and some folks within the aura of inside information have begun to show up.

Next year, not this year.

I would generally agree with your sentiment but Lindsey believes he’s got a shot.

If he’s not smart enough to see that he’s not getting Gus’s job, he’s not smart enough to be our OC.

Jk, but seriously, if he’s really in line for it, he could still get it from Knoxville, I’d think, with the benefit of still having a nice job if he didn’t end up getting it. Unless he thinks he can/needs to Ed O his way in.

Remember when shark humper said he could teach his dog to play QB?

And then most of his UF career was mired by terrible QB play?

And he did land a fantastic QB and lost him?

And then Mullen immediately takes one of the worst QBs in D1 and makes him look pretty decent?

I remember those things
Remember him winning the east a couple times?
