We can't always control what happens to us; we can control our reaction. Butch created a bad situation, Hurd made it worse. Guilty and guilty.

Well, he didn’t get better every year if his last year was a 5-7 season that ended with back-to-back blowouts by Vandy and Miss State.

I’m torn on Freeze. Never been a fan, and not convinced that his offense is as great as everyone seems to think, but he has called plays successfully on a huge stage before and dealt with 5-star kids, etc.

If its potential negative behavior with freeze I would like to think the first team to bring him back will be lucky. I'm sure he has respect for Pruitt and a whole lot more for Fulmer. I would like to think he would be on his best behavior. Now if he ever transitions to a HC job, that's when I would think he would be more likely to mess up.

True that he beat Bama twice, but one of those times required a 5-0 turnover advantage and a total prayer-ball that has to get deflected just right for a miracle TD.

He is what he is as a person, and I know someone who had him as a teacher. Some don't like him. But he's proven to be a very good (great?) offensive coach. He doesn't have to actively recruit because his offense will generate interest. UT doesn't have to do what OM did to allure recruits; just do what UT does. I think it would be a great hire.

Amid the coaching search, I actually threw Sumlin out there. But, I was on the Mehlin train, too.

When i said one bad year that’s what i was talking about. One bad year isn’t a big deal to me for a coach bc so many things can happen... injuries, chemistry, suspensions, whatever. The more telling was the 4 years before that they improved every year and beat bama a couple times.

Freeze--- is a great play caller and understands the SEC, he will most likely have learned his lesson and won't be dialing up 1-800-hooker anytime soon, and is at worst a really good recruiter. I think you have to compare him to Helton... is he better? YES, so it would be an upgrade.

who is Drinkwitz?

funny this morning Low is on the Freeze train saying he is the prime candidate and now these guys are saying Lindsay and Drink... no body knows anything.
