I have to wonder if Drinkwitz has an in with FootballScoop and they help him by throwing his name in everything.

No argument on that point...but we're talking about how Urbie & Hugh are going to spin things in living rooms. If the recruits and their families aren't going to care much about Urbie, they're likely going to have the same lack of concern with Hugh.

Brent from the 3HL said earlier that he believes that Pruitt and Freeze will meet within 24-48 hours for sure. He said that with a pretty high level of confidence. As if he heard something. Also, he may just be a sports talk host but his great grandfather is the one who hired General Neyland. He even has a building on the hill with his name on it. No bearing on his info, just think that’s pretty stinkin’ cool.

Saw on a FB post where at end of Vandy game Pruitt looks to be yelling angrily at Mason and Mason has a sorta getting pissed off look. They are not shaking hands and the article was nothing about any words between the two. But that pic seems to indicate that perhaps Pruitt said something about how the game ended with Vandy playing aggressive. Just wondering if anyone knows if they had some words.

SECMIke reporting NC States OC is in the hunt for our OC position.......

If he’s hired or even being considered I’ll be disappointed,like Pruitt knowing what it takes to win in the SEC is exactly the same knowledge and mentality I want from my OC someone with SEC experience who has won big games against other SEC teams nothing less.

Gt getting away from the option and potentially getting a bigger name, doesn't necessarily hurt us, but it doesn't help.

They haven't been a competitor fit recruits at all while Johnson was there.

They'll likely now at least be swimming in the same waters as us, UGA, Clemson, Auburn, bama etc...

Basically it's another mouth to feed.

UNC should have hired Swaggerfield.

He and his family like it in Boone a lot and are very comfortable. I believe he will eventually make the jump, but it will have to be the right fit.

There was no coaching search with UNC. Mack was able to sway a few big hitting boosters behind the scenes and they basically strong armed Bubba Cunningham into hiring him before Fedora was let go. Their pitch was let Mack bring two top coordinators and stabilize the program. They know Mack is a politician and can get people excited about Football and sell some tickets.

Says a lot about Cunningham considering he can sit in his office and Roy Williams and Mack will do all of the fundraising.

One other thing re: Vandy.

Mason is getting ready for a new boss. Long time Director David Williams is retiring. They’ve poured little into football and nothing seems to indicate that won’t continue. I fully expect Mason to at least seriously pine for another job. He knows Tennessee is only going to get better too.
