I think Kennedy is the key to the OL's success next year. Most successful offensive lines begin with a good center. Take the Titans for example....the years they had Kevin Mawae at Center (a potential Hall of Famer) coincide with Chris Johnson rushing for 2000 yards. Then outside of Ben Jones' first year (which was a good year for him) the Titans OL has struggled majorly since Mawae left.

There needs to be a consistent anchor point in the middle of the line that can hold a rush up the middle at bay and make room for some semblance of a running game and if Kennedy can provide that then the OL can make major strides.

I think schedule eases the year. The team will not be that much better, but due to the opponents, and possibly an OC upgrade. We should net 2-3 more wins
IF. If the OL improves, then I might agree with you.
We trade WV for BYU. So we go from 20 percent to 50/50 or better. Auburn for Mst is still a loss, because they are a dang good team. Vandy odds improve and if Mason leaves, I would call it a W. SC is never predictable. If KY was supposed to be a loss this year, I dont know why they wouldn't be next year, on paper. But I'll cheer for your opinion and won't be disappointed if we dont achieve it.

I'm not buying his tweet about not reclassifying to '19 either. Hubbs put that out with direct knowledge and wouldn't do so if it weren't a very good possibility. I think they just want to keep it quiet but I'd bet $100 Bailey enrolls this summer and is our starting QB this fall. Unless of course Freeze is able to turn JG into what we all hoped for when he signed. Then we can redshirt Bailey which would be great but I doubt that happens, more likely he plays as a TF.
If we have to start what would be a HS senior next year at QB that’s not good news in my opinion

Miss St. loses Fitzgerald and their defensive studs, Kentuckly loses Josh Allen and Benny Snell, Vandy loses Kyle Shurmur, SC should have been a win this year, realistically a lot of the teams we play are losing key pieces so that bodes well for our schedule next year

You probably won’t go back, but I list each opponent and reasons for my prediction about 4-5 pages back. IMO, you give too much credit to the marginal opponents who lose a lot.

MSU loses their defense
Vandy loses their QB, possibly head coach
Mizzou loses Lock but keeps their RB’s
Kentucky loses Snell and their defense

I see a minimum of 2 wins there...like our shot against BYU at home

Missouri loses Lock too. Florida probably gets better, but Georgia will find a way to Georgia something up so I like our chances.

S&C will really show in 2019. I expect marked progress.

Tuttle, Phillips and Johnson were good, not great..... would have been better had we had 3-4 more just like them that we could rotate more regularly.

I'd feel a lot better if they were coming back. Not sure why some are so confident that Butler, Mincey, Gooden, garland, Emerson with a mix of freshman would be ok....

I mean yes another year in strength program will help but Gooden is only one of that group that I would be confident in having a solid year. Even he is inconsistent. Mincey has potential. I think the reps Mincey, Butler and Gooden got this year will help next yr. it was nice to have a staff willing to put them in rotation in key points of games.

We are going to have to pray these newcomers are legit and that we land some more before NSD

I think UF and UGA are better next year. Everyone else on paper probably gets worse. Naturally a player or team will emerge form Nowhere. Hopefully it’s us.

I am with Ron to a certain extent. I think the tweet by Bailey saying he wasn't reclassifying may have been to maybe settle Mauer a bit. I don't think he'll be starting next season.

A bit off topic, but what's going on with Florida recruiting? Ranked just #21 right now, their highest ranked commit is 141, and according to 247 they're only really in it for two more top 100 players. This class could be a great first step in giving us a significant talent edge over Mullen.

This is where I am as well. I could see Bailey reclassify to '19, but RS next season and be ready to step in as a RS Freshman in 2020. To then put the cart waaaay ahead of the horse, this would then allow him to play two seasons and have the option to declare a year earlier then if he stays in HS another season. It's a business decision for these stud QB's IMO and this would be a smart plan if possible and if he really is as legit as projected.
