I do hope it goes to eight and stays there. I think that would be a lot of fun to watch. Some good upsets would liven up the playoffs..like this year it would be awesome to see UCF knock Notre Shames gutless arse out early.According to Pete Thamel, 8 game playoff could be done as early as 2020. Because this year there were too many deserving teams that didn't get in.
No link, because it's written by Pete Thamel.
My biggest issue with him is that he is very quick to bring bad news. Like his tweet about the BOT members who said they would never accept Freeze. He usually can barely contain his excitement when it's bad news for Tennessee.I actually enjoy listening to Hyams. He’s a nice guy and does a good job talking about games and stuff. He just needs to stick more with opinions then trying to be a reporter.
I love the idea..who cares about two good two loss teams getting in. It matters who is lefy at the end. You still have to have a great season and a good team to make it in.Don't like this idea....when a team knows they can lose 2 games and still get in I think it takes out the fun in College Football where every week seems to matter

Or put emphasis on it if you had a guaranteed spot to all conference champs with a remainder of 3 wild card spots.UCF would get raced in a game that counted. I want fewer playoff teams because the regular season is fun and important. This could take away from the gravity of the conference CG. Frankly it already did last year.
UGA doesn’t win that game last season and they don’t make the playoffs and Ohio State does. Last year wasn’t a good example against it.UCF would get raced in a game that counted. Blah blah blah...I'm old school about a lot of stuff, but this isn't one of them...Playoffs in any sport are exciting, and the best time of the year. I think it will be great fun to watch. Hell you still have to have a great season with at most two losses..it isn't like regular season will not matter any more...If anything it will make some later regular season games more exciting because there is something still on the line.UCF would get raced in a game that counted.
