I have a different opinion KV. I don't think Freeze is the hold out. I think JP wants Enos and Freeze is his back up. Again, that is just an opinion. I have no actual knowledge of anything going on. I think it's about fits and I think JP and Enos are a better fit.

Agreed, the way it is now is part of the charm of CFB. Plus, if they expand it to 8 then they'll be arguing about teams 9, 10, and 11 that deserved to be in. It'll never be perfect.

My biggest issue with him is that he is very quick to bring bad news. Like his tweet about the BOT members who said they would never accept Freeze. He usually can barely contain his excitement when it's bad news for Tennessee.

I think that was what I was referring to earlier, can't remember a time he jumps out w good news.. Seems to always be a harbinger for news we do not want to hear..

I wouldn’t mind that at all.

But everything I’ve heard privately and read publicly is that this thing is moving towards Freeze quickly.

I’ve made it clear - I don’t think Freeze is worth the risk.

Regarding the College Football Playoffs, I would like the idea of 6 teams more. Have a BCS type of system to figure out who is number 1 and 2, let them have a bye week, and let the committee choose the other 4.

Taking the 5 conference champions and 1 at large wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Brice said he’s positive it’s Freeze (that’s it’s Freeze) because his name is the only name HE has heard and He’s the only one he’s actually seen on campus. He told my buddy that if he’s wrong, he’d apologize publicly. Lol. Not that he’d have to but still thought that was funny. Brice is a lot like Brent in that he is usually conservative in his approach.

The problem with UCF is that they can’t really control their schedule that much. The players on that team who haven’t lost a game since 2016 have done everything they can, and they still can’t get an opportunity to win a championship. But this is the problem with expanding the field. In the BCS system, this is easy — Bama and Clemson, and UCF can get bent along with Notre Dame, both of whom would lose their bowl games if somebody with half a brain matched them against Oklahoma and UGA, respectively.
