2 Thoughts:
1. I think most people who are "freaking out" aren't anxious because they think Freeze is the only good offensive coordinator option available. I think it's the thought that we might not get him because of the administration and what that says about the future of the program. Essentially, it'll feel like we're still where we were a year ago and a lot of us thought we were past that.
2. If what Hank is saying is true about there being a possible non-escort related issue, then bravo to Fulmer/Pruitt for working through it behind the scenes. One thing that always bothered me about the media's response to the Schiano ordeal was they blamed the fans for ruining a mans reputation but never considered the fact that that only happened because Currie and the rest of the administration didn't do their work behind the scenes to see how fans would feel about the hire while knowing what was in Schiano's past. Working these issues out behind the scenes means you can save the guys reputation and still go in a different direction if you find things you don't like.
PlausibleAgreed. I think he was the number one guy and I have no reason to doubt @Atlanta VOL when he told us it was done.
What I wonder, however, is if what he heard was that Pruitt has made *his* decision. Not that Freeze had made the decision to accept.
Now, with Pruitt’s decision done, they probably called Sexton to let him know, them Sexton told them Freeze wanted to interview in Tallahassee first - which would likely take all day.
And that’s where we are now - waiting. And in the absence of news, rumors start to swirl.
Cool. I’d love to give it a go. Not sure I could hang but thought about checking out the D3 team.
My ****ing God, can we have one search, just one where some dumbass doesn't **** the whole thing up. The people at this university suck.Hubbs has not said who the holdup is or who it is not one way or the other. All he will say is that his sources say there's a holdup, and the sources aren't sure who it is, so Hubbs isn't sure.
Hubbs reiterating that "the feeling" was Pruitt's first choice would be Freeze. Someone asked who else needs to sign off on these things besides HC/AD/President, and Hubbs said "board, donors, trustees, politicians, former players, fans, etc. etc."
