2 Thoughts:

1. I think most people who are "freaking out" aren't anxious because they think Freeze is the only good offensive coordinator option available. I think it's the thought that we might not get him because of the administration and what that says about the future of the program. Essentially, it'll feel like we're still where we were a year ago and a lot of us thought we were past that.

2. If what Hank is saying is true about there being a possible non-escort related issue, then bravo to Fulmer/Pruitt for working through it behind the scenes. One thing that always bothered me about the media's response to the Schiano ordeal was they blamed the fans for ruining a mans reputation but never considered the fact that that only happened because Currie and the rest of the administration didn't do their work behind the scenes to see how fans would feel about the hire while knowing what was in Schiano's past. Working these issues out behind the scenes means you can save the guys reputation and still go in a different direction if you find things you don't like.

Good post is good.

I think VQ is a few days behind the info. Remember they were the ones saying there wasn't a hold up while others said there was pushback. I think their info is just late

Agreed. I think he was the number one guy and I have no reason to doubt @Atlanta VOL when he told us it was done.

What I wonder, however, is if what he heard was that Pruitt has made *his* decision. Not that Freeze had made the decision to accept.

Now, with Pruitt’s decision done, they probably called Sexton to let him know, them Sexton told them Freeze wanted to interview in Tallahassee first - which would likely take all day.

And that’s where we are now - waiting. And in the absence of news, rumors start to swirl.
Plausible

Cool. I’d love to give it a go. Not sure I could hang but thought about checking out the D3 team.

You should definitely try it out. It’s addicting once you start. I know who the DIII team is, knew a couple guys that played there too. I’d probably recommend the DII team though, they are a great group of guys off the pitch too. Both teams are very accepting of new players regardless of experience and they usually play a second game every Saturday after the main one so the less experienced players still get some action while learning the game and growing their skills/knowledge. They are probably not practicing until January because of the holidays but I can definitely check the Facebook group and get some info for you if you’d like.

Hubbs reiterating that "the feeling" was Pruitt's first choice would be Freeze. Someone asked who else needs to sign off on these things besides HC/AD/President, and Hubbs said "board, donors, trustees, politicians, former players, fans, etc. etc."

Hubbs has not said who the holdup is or who it is not one way or the other. All he will say is that his sources say there's a holdup, and the sources aren't sure who it is, so Hubbs isn't sure.
My ****ing God, can we have one search, just one where some dumbass doesn't **** the whole thing up. The people at this university suck.

Here’s the thing, and i think I’ve stayed consistent on it the whole time.

Enos and Drink were never real candidates. It was always Hugh and Lindsey. Now VQ guys are saying the same (no drink or enos)...

Lindsey is off the table now...he’s not turning down TN for Kansas so there’s that.

The only thing left is Freeze and He’s been at the top of our list for a week. Yes some stuff has gotten in the way that shouldn’t but that is what it is. I think at the end of the day Fulmer and Pruitt will get whatever they want done. What helps Hugh is being patient by not heating up too much with other jobs. He’s not going to liberty that’s just stupid. He’s not going to be patient forever tho so hopefully we get something done by tomorrow because it’s gonna be really bad optics for both fulmer and Pruitt to hit the reset button after a week of basically nothing when freeze is begging for the job and he’s at the top of our list.

You'll never be successful if there are that many cooks in the kitchen for an OC hire.

Houston just raised Briles salary to 2.1 million to stay as their OC today

I find it interesting that they gave him a raise today.

I suppose with all the movement going on they had an inkling that someone would come after their boy sooner rather than later.
