But it's also okay not to hire someone as your OC because of red flags like these. There is more than one good play caller.

I trust Pruitt and Fulmer in their choice for OC. If they decide to go with Dan Enos or promoting an internal candidate, I'll be fine with that provided the whomever gets hired is the best fit for the staff. If it turns out that Pruitt and Fulmer were overruled and not empowered to hire Huge Freeze because of red flags in his past, and specifically from his time at Briarcrest, then we need to break out the pitchforks because the same cronies who fouled up the coaching search last year are at it again.

totally agree. which is to be expected. outside our bubble, i don't think this search moves the needle all that much.

now, whoever hires Freeze, that'll generate a reaction. but it will have way more to do with the hugh freeze angle than simply hiring an OC.

which is why it's generating as much disucssion as it has amongst us fans. we'd be talking about it anyway, cause everyone would have an opinion on who's good, who's not, who we shoud hire etc.....

Freeze takes that coversation to 11, in the right circles.

at this point, i don't think he does.

there's risk on his end too.

no matter who hires him, they hire his baggage too.

so no one is going to be immune to a reaction. if i were him, i'd want as many options as possible.

and if i'm in the hugh freeze hunt, i don't want to be the only person in line. i think having some real demand for him, eases the blow for whoever gets him.

saw it in that cole cublic tweet from last night..........as if it was unbelievable programs would want to him.

there is a definite PR angle to this.

I don't necessarily disagree. But I would guess we will never know the truth about stuff like this. We will just hear negative tidbits of info and folks will cling to it.

Sometimes I think our fans (and lots of college football fans) are just looking for reasons to break out pitchforks.

It would definitely be more fun if we were good.

Agree.

I just remember being so entrenched in the coaching search last year that I was extremely unproductive and useless for days on in. That’s total on me but I was just mesmerized by it all. Especially being a Gruden believer. Lol. Hopefully it’ll all be done today. 👊🏼
