i think this team is a lot better than that team. more complete. that team created offense from defense and really pressed opponents in to mistakes, which we took advantage of.Haha!..that’s awesome and to beat it all she knows what you’re talking about that’s super cool.would you put this team up against the team that beat Memphis when they were number 1?!nobody on here has asked that question yet.
I WANT to see that game, the first team that legit tries to play us Man to Man better have some big time talent. Grant will get his obviously, Admiral, Bone, Bowden will eat up 1 on 1 and then you'll allow Kyle/Grant to crash the boards without an extra defender to box them out? YES PLEASE.
Honestly I think a team that can force UT to live/die by the 3 ball and NOT foul will be the tougher defense. Most our guys can shoot a good 3 ball though, but it's not something they all seem willing to do and catch and shoot is about that Lofton mindset, no hesitation. I'm open, I'm shooting....I've yet to see anyone just do that yet, I expect Turner/Bowden to get more and more comfortable with it though as the season progresses.
If UGA's coordinators end up being Coley and Lupoi then I could see next year being a bumpy year for them. Neither of those guys have done an impressive job as coordinators, and even though they're great recruiters, they will have a harder time if the results on the field start to sag. It'll be Coley most likely, dude is Co-coordinator and QB coach and was coordinator at Miami a couple years ago
I get the positives of being athletic but I think if he could add some good weight he could do so without losing his athleticism. He gets pushed around on the low block quite a bit and hits the floor more often than I'd like to see. He's getting better playing away from the basket which he needs to to exploit his athleticism. Last night he had a few great plays away from the basket including a dribble drive for a slam which ain't easy for a guy his size.In today’s game, frame/mass is diminished. He’s perfect for what you want. His post defense, reach on blocking shots and rebounds, and low post scoring abilities are a perfect fit for this team especially.
De1 didn’t spill the entire conversation just that he talked to Chaney and he was trying to FINALIZE the deal and the main motivation was to return to Knoxville to be close to his daughter. Kirby didn’t have that card in his deck. Showed me the screenshot of Coach Chaney’s phone contact with the number blocked (not very well tho, De1. I could make it out. But I’ll never call him. How the hell would I explain who I am?). That could be faked, of course, but even tho we’ve clashed these last few years, the man has never violated confidences of his people and didn’t here when most would’ve jumped at the level of e-cred. Knew it was solid and it withstood AtlantaVol’s post about it dying as of Saturday. Man knows some people!
Yet here you are worrying about his ecred and assuming coaches kept him from info or misdirected him. He explained what happened. If you don't want to believe him, let it go. Sing a chorus or two.No doubt you are connected.....This is how you see it...and that is fine. Coaches are wrong, no.
You may have been given information that appears that way....and I Appreciate what you bring to the board, but CJP and ADPF have played this close to the vest with a lot of misdirection, misinformation, and silence.
I can see where there is a lot of misses on recruits, because of it being kids, social media, broken commitments, media and information is very fluid.
The coaching search had been controlled and so tight lipped that only a few had access...
This is a good to great hire for us....Let's all enjoy it and not worry about E Cred for missing or getting it right...
It's pick your poison with this team though. That was on full display last night. Even with admiral for most of the game and Grant with little scoring, the team just took over the game. This team is extremely hard to defend. If/when We lose one, several players will have to be off, which with a very good defensive team, is entirely possible.Hot take on how to defend our hoops team
I would allow grant to get his. I woudnt double him and gladly give him 25, I wouldn't let him shred the double team with his great passing and get the rest of the roster going with easy baskets. I'd do my best to make it the grant williams show
If you assume Tee is in, that would mean two position coaches have to leave.
Poster on VQ asked if its true that Friend is willing to split OL duties if Pruitt wants to bring on another OL coach. LWS confirmed that's true.
They're trying to get Pittman on board, going to be interesting...
Somebody posted that we still need to drop 6 current guys by spring to get there. Look for more defections soon.Yeah, sorry for all the b-ball talk. #wrongthread
So we've got 19 signed, any predictions on final count? Seems like we got 3 grad transfers we can move off this 25. With Tanner and Brooks going IR Retired and the attrition of a few other players/graduation to get back to 85 I've heard we could sign as many as 6 or 7 more...
Personally I'd love to see CJP get his max number that won't diminish the 25 for next season, cause I want Chaney/Tee to have a full class to recruit for without a worry about fancy shirts or PWO.

now, id take Chris Lofton on this team right now and go against anyone int he country and like our chances.
