If he can't under Chaney he won't be the QB imo.
I will give JG the benefit of the doubt now that Chaney has him. If you can't perform with Chaney, you just are not a good QB and he will find one who can.

A guy like Shrout is right in JCs wheelhouse. As much as I have supported JG, if he can't get it done, JC will get it from Maurer or Shrout...and just wait till Bailey gets here...wow.

Saturday we are going to play by far the best defensive team we will play all year. If we are going to lose a low scoring game this might be it with it being on the road.
They really know how to defend but they can't score in a whore house
I agree, but I’m pretty confident the good guys prevail regardless of circumstances. We are literally that good this year.

I would really like to see Shrout really step up and challenge JG next year. Nothing personal to JG I just think it would be healthy for UT to have another QB really pushing the starter.

lot of difference between Hurts and Chryst. At the start of the season a lot of us didn't have a lot of confidence in JG.
There couldn’t be a bigger gap between Chryst and Hurts. Nobody worth taking seriously really thought Chryst brought much more to the table than some experience and the size to take hits.

Hurts coming in, on the other hand, would immediately add a completely new facet to our offense and give defenses something new to account for.

.......with a pocket full of hundred dollar bills. Still, the Gators are soft and I have no doubt in my mind, Vols win by 10+ points

I’ve defended JG a lot at times (moreso because I think some of the criticism directed towards him is eye-roll-worthy than because I think he’s that great), but I do worry that 3 years of fluctuating coaches and 2 years of playing behind the worst OLs in CFB has ruined whatever potential he had to begin with.
