If Florida gets Hurts they will compete with Georgia to win the SEC East. We need another 2 or 3 years to be competitive.

I think they are in Atlanta anyway next year. Pretty veteran offense and they always seem to be stout on defense.

I think Hurts is best served to go somewhere like Houston if he wants to play right away. He’s better than Franks but may need more than one spring to steal the job.

I’ve defended JG a lot at times (moreso because I think some of the criticism directed towards him is eye-roll-worthy than because I think he’s that great), but I do worry that 3 years of fluctuating coaches and 2 years of playing behind the worst OLs in CFB has ruined whatever potential he had to begin with.

I can see that also. Not easy at all and hard to develop when you got one OC or QB coming saying do this way one year and one saying do this way the next. Plus, forget that playbook learn this etc etc...

My rationalization.
1 we sit through the angst of an unusually long OC search, strut out with Chaney.

2. We suffered and rebelled the hellish onslaught that was Bahama John and Schiano, slide right out with non other than Fulmer rebuilding TN football like only a former coach can

3. Way I see it, the retribution for the best freaking fan base in the world, suffering the lost decade, sniffing around the bottom of the SEC, is due. And if my theory is correct, we're in for a ride.
We about to take all da monies and sleep with all the...
Well, our wives and husbands but ya'll get my point!!!
We're coming and I believe every single bit of that.

lol, ok. Keep thinking that.

Outside of Kentucky, he was the worst QB in our division the last two years. That's just a fact. You aren't going to win many games in that situation.

I actually think he’s probably better than Franks too it’s just Mullen is an amazing QB coach and can tailor his offense to get production out of anyone.

JGs tools like his mobility and arm talent have been really overhyped especially when you consider how often he hung vertical shots in the air too long and underthrew them.

I got respect for him Bc he plays hard and wants to be great but sometimes it’s just not in the cards. All the OC turnover he’s had definitely doesn’t make it easier. It almost reminds me of Alex smiths career where he went through a different OC like every year then he gets to Kansas City and has a nice run as a starter.
