Stone was in high school that season.Picking nits here, but Stone went undrafted. Still played in the NFL, but nothing meaningful. I remember he had the worst time snapping the ball as a center. So many snaps at the QB's feet as an underclassman.
As far as what pre-season expectations were.. I think the "we underachieved" narrative came after the season ended, with close losses like UCLA and Bama weighing on the balance sheet, we were a playcall and an uninjured kicker away from being 9-4 (5-3) and 2nd in the East.. Georgia finished that year 2nd in the East at 8-5 (4-4) and we were 3rd at 7-6 (4-4).. honestly a pretty good year all things considered.

True. Their forum is an abomination. Chats are cluster fk. Interviews are worthless. Podcasts are free.Cancelled my 247. Not renewing my VQ sub. Their spring evals are terrible, the forums unreadable, all recruit interviews say the same thing basically, and while I like Hubbs, Simonton, and Price and think they do their best... reality is they don't provide any real noteworthy information. I used to love the chats and war rooms, but I just sparsely skim them anymore. Best part (imo) is the podcasts just because I like listening on my way to work, but pretty sure you don't need to be a VQ subscriber to listen to it - should just be on Soundcloud.
Of course, i say all that but also know the 8.33 a month aint **** and I need my Vols fix so I'll probably renew like the sucker I am.
It seems like most of the writers that cover UT football know just about as much as some of the fans.An article on Jerome Carvin by Patrick Brown:
This makes no sense to me. I think it's widely known that a football team must start the season with three capable centers. That means they need to have been developed and trained to play the position. News flash for Brown - not all 3 are going to start at the same time but if #1 goes down (like last year) then #2 is the next man up. Who you got after that? If you're Butch Jones, probably nobody. If you're Jeremy Pruitt you've got #3 as the backup and right away you start looking for a new #3.
I swear we move guys around for developmental purposes or depth training and these writers right away begin suggesting that's an indication that the #1 and/or #2 guys are about to be sent to the bench. smh.
BTW, I checked Ainge's show today and he wasn't at the scrimmage. Neither was Doug Matthews from my take on his Big Orange Sunday show. Erik did say today that Guarantano played most of last season with two sprained MCLs.
No disrespect, but I am sure there is a lot of stuff going on that you haven't heard of. Does not mean that you are ill informed, it just means that it does not affect you, so why would you pay attention to it.Dominik Woods-Anderson Capitalizes The First Letter Of Every Word Plus He Thinks Some Rapper I've Never Heard Of Was Killed Because The Government Trying To Hold The Black Man Down So I Had To Unfollow Him On Twitter.
Barnes is looking at much bigger fish. There's never gonna be room for some solid Tennessee guys with 13 scholarship limits.Barnes missed this one.i hope it doesn’t come back to bite us.
