I don't know if it effects you all the same way but I haven't watched a down of football since the debacle in Neyland Saturday. It ruins college football as a whole for me. Have no desire to watch other games at this point.

I'm there with you, man. It affects me the exact same way. Didn't watch Auburn/Oregon or ND/Louisville. Heck, I even had zero desire to wash my car!

Same. This is the first game I haven’t re watched in 5-6 years. Just can’t bring myself to. I didn’t watch the game too closely. We had friends over, several games on multiples TVs, and I was grilling.

I’ve come to the conclusion this was an experiment by the staff that royally not them in the ass. The players overlooked this game, went in cocky, and got embarrassed. Neither, coaches or players, should allow this to happen again. If they do, God help us fans!
We have talent, but talent only results in success when full effort is give every play. I’d say the majority of this team cares, they just learned a very hard lesson in LIFE, by not taking some seriously.

Glad to hear we had survivors.

Cant watch any games really now. I turned on ND game for 5 min.. and within 5 mins, announcers talking about our loss..

BRB going to put all my monies on BYU. Nothing I have heard or seen gives me any glimmer of hope that this team can beat a far superior team than the one that just leg wrestled them to tears. An ugly win against UTC will be followed by a prison rape by the Gators in the swamp. After that, no one will care any more. I hope you guys have good fantasy teams this fall because that will the only thrill of victory you will have to chase. This coaching experiment was a disaster. We will need an actual HC, with real HC experience to take pity on this program and this fanbase to come in here and try and climb out of the pit. Move back the return to greatness a few more years. I'm usually leaning on the sunshine pumpers side of the fence but I have lost all faith in this iteration of Tennessee football.

I was thinking the same thing.

Normally when I ponder about a coaching search my mind immediately goes to Whittingham and Patterson. “Let’s throw some real money at them!”

Now all I can think about is which VFL we could hire to stop the bleeding and at least get the players to understand what playing for Tennessee means. I’m not kidding, I pondered just hiring Dale Jones as HC last night.

Too early to let up or adjust rythm imo. That is Butch at Florida 2015. If you're winning by using some tempo, wouldn't adjust that early. Figure if your optimal offense is using some tempo and wearing them out vs "eating clock" and letting them get set. First, your optimal offense will move the ball more often. But let's assume for this you go 3 and out regardless. Then the difference of snapping at 25 vs 5 seconds is a mere 40 for the drive. Weighing 40 seconds vs pushing your opponent with your best scheme and tempo just isn't worth it yet I think.

Like had Ga St slowed way down in the 4th rather than snapping with 12 men on the field...or our guys completely out of whack...who knows? Their very last drive of the game they did this. 3 straight runs letting us get set and we ate it up no problem. While tempo has been curbed some, it is still very effective.

I don’t disagree but ND wasn’t consistent with their tempo. At any time

Haven't even checked scores. Not a clue except accidentally reading 1 or 2 on here.

yep. i've alrelady planned this saturday out. and football isn't part of the equation. time get the yard ready for aeriation.

i admire everyone here that's willing to share their opinions on what went wrong, who's fault it is and who should be benched/fired as a result, and the prognostications of what happens the rest of the season..........

i just don't have the energy for it. the only thing i'd pay attention to is "how it gets fixed...now".

i'm not interested in coaching searches, QB debates or starting over or what happens if............

past that, finding reasons just not to care at this point....

I think I’d pay Cutcliffe $10M a year to take the job. But he’s been smart enough to say no every time.

I keep checking volnation hoping some news will break which gives me hope even though I know there won't be any.

I've never been a big fan of the NFL but I think I might try to get more into it this year. The only issue is my team would be the Bengals....

Same here. Take the BYU and the points. It's a no-brainer. I suspect we will struggle with the non conference opponents and maybe drop one of those and then lose the rest. I suspect Pruitt will take a lowered buyout and get the heck out of dodge at seasons end. Don't know if fulmer survives this but I suspect we'll get another risky hire and fans again will have a glimmer of hope and buy in. I think relevant Tennessee football is many, many years away.

Same, I did other stuff around the house. If we lose this Saturday I am completely done with college football. I'm just not watching another year of UT sucking and a Clemson/Bama/UGA/OSU/OK title run. College football has turned into the same crappy rerun every year unless you are one of those fans.

UAB is going to be legitimate trouble.

Dude you want to throw Saban money at cut? Cut is a good coach but if we have the ability to throw 10mil a year out, we better be getting a sure thing. And trust me, people don’t just say no to 10mil a year.

Everybody in college football is going to milk this way longer than they should. No getting away from it. ESPN has it on the ticker on every single network. The heads talk about it in every game. They even had a graphic in the ND game. For a program that isn't relevant, UT sure does own a lot of head space.
