Honestly, losing my dog this weekend made me get over the loss pretty quickly. So I'm just reading most of your headless chicken posts like
giphy.gif
I've been caught up in this and well, enough said.
I'm truly sorry about your dog, Rish. I've done a lot of scrolling, he's missing atm correct? Called all the shelters and done the posters and such, already?

Yep. Done all of that, wife has tried to put it all over social media. It happened in a different area than where we live so that makes it a little harder. I have a 4 year old that sleeps with this dog and she was crying most of the night asking for the dog. Kept telling her he's on an adventure and she could see it in her dreams

Oh man, the part about your 4 year old makes me sick. The different area really sucks. Chances are that someone has him and you would probably see them or him find his on way if it were close to you.
Just keep doing the pics and social, somebody else might realize it's the same dog and give you a call.
Sorry Rish and hopefully someone notices, brother.

Sorry if personal, but care to share what city/area it was lost and what it looks like? Maybe VN manpower can work some magic. Never know

That's tough, Rish. Hopefully he shows soon.

5 years ago, a storm had knocked down a big section of the gate in my back yard. My daughter let our dogs out while I was out with friends. When I got home, my lil princess Ivey didn’t make the headcount. My daughter had let all the other dogs back in and missed her. Walked all around the neighborhood and posted social media. She was the type of dog who would wait outside for you to let her back in and not a runner. To make it even more maddening, my next door neighbors who shared the fallen fence, remembered her scratching at their back window but didn’t think to bring her inside. Imagined her running onto the busy road one line of houses over and being scared. Did not sleep that first night. Went door to door and as it turns out, the house directly behind my yard the next street over was the 15th door I knocked on and they had her. Remember hearing my other dogs barking at something in that yard the night before but they weren’t home during my previous search. Short nightmare but nightmare nonetheless and I wasn’t on VN for any of it.

Man this week has suuuuucked. Sorry Rish. I have a 4 year old, tough to console. Old enough to care but not old enough to understand.

Very sorry about your dog. They are like members of the family.

Ok, I’m over it now. Orange glasses have been dug out of the trash, ans have a gut feeling we stomp a mud hole in BYU this weekend. No more effing around with experiments and subbing. Coaches get it right moving forward.
Keep trying to force myself to rewatch the entire thing to look for quick fixes but get too sick.

Already know the substitutions is 1 but dang, they basically bragged about how it would be a good idea, what if they don't stop?

JG. No words but I've seen him play somewhat better at times or just yank him. Something has to give.

What else? The most memorable to me was just losing the speed contest on both sides. Maybe it was overthinking and subs but it honestly just looked like we were slow. Incredibly slow.

Watching the game again my biggest take away is our defensive containment. The game was ugly regardless, however I believe if our containment on the edges was better we'd have won the game. Guys were taking the inside angle on every play, almost every single player.. leaving the outsides open
that is what I noticed as well....
OAN, you are a better person than I am. I can not bring myself to watch that visual garbage again. The first time around made me physically ill....I can only imagine what a second viewing will do.

A caller on Swain this AM said JG might have PTSD from last year. That may be true. If he still struggles, coaches need to pull him.

Same. This is the first game I haven’t re watched in 5-6 years. Just can’t bring myself to. In all honestly, after the first score, I didn’t watch the game too closely. We had friends over, several games on multiples TVs, and I was grilling.

I’ve come to the conclusion this was an experiment by the staff that royally not them in the ass. The players overlooked this game, went in cocky, and got embarrassed. Neither, coaches or players, should allow this to happen again. If they do, God help us fans!
We have talent, but talent only results in success when full effort is give every play. I’d say the majority of this team cares, they just learned a very hard lesson in LIFE, by not taking some seriously.

Pruitt said his dad threatened to whip his tail after the Bama game last year, he may beat the ever loving ish out of him before Saturday gets here.

Sorry for your loss, man. Our dogs will always be a part of us. I hope he/she shows up really soon so you can have one of your own back.

"Settling for mediocrity" used to be an insult, now it feels like an unattainable goal that any of us would jump at to stop the bleeding.
I was thinking the same thing.

Normally when I ponder about a coaching search my mind immediately goes to Whittingham and Patterson. “Let’s throw some real money at them!”

Now all I can think about is which VFL we could hire to stop the bleeding and at least get the players to understand what playing for Tennessee means. I’m not kidding, I pondered just hiring Dale Jones as HC last night.
