I think by selling out with that package they're challenging us to beat them on the ground, like we challenged Florida to beat us through the air. They're betting HT and their LBs/S will be able to stuff our running game. They may be the only team that has the personnel to try this because of Anderson and Turner. Interested to see how Heupel gets around it and if Hooker/Small will be able to hit big runs consistently. If Bama goes with their Cheetah package for most of the game then that’s a huge advantage to Tennessee and get ready to see a steady dose of Small, Wright, Hooker and Sampson.
Will Anderson and Dallas Turner are outstanding players, but not sure they’re designed to play a majority of snaps against a run heavy offense (like Tennessee can be) in that package.
We got lucky 3 times. The LSU scoreline looks like the UF scoreline if our 3 fumbles go the other way. And the UF scoreline looks like the LSU scoreline if our fumbles in that game all get recovered by the Vols.A few thoughts:
1. We got lucky as hell on the corner blitz/fumble against LSU. 99 times out of 100 that’s either a turnover or a big loss. That cannot happen this weekend if we want to win.
True. We put the ball on the ground too much.We got lucky 3 times. The LSU scoreline looks like the UF scoreline if our 3 fumbles go the other way. And the UF scoreline looks like the LSU scoreline if our fumbles in that game all get recovered by the Vols.
We can't be putting the ball on the ground on Saturday.
