Who’s got the better defense? Removing the ass whoopin we gave Bama. Put Bama D side by side with Georgia. Who would y’all say is better?

Hard to say...Georgia's only real solid offense they faced was Oregon in their first game with a first time HC (they hadn't even found their identity yet).

Bama meanwhile (even excluding us) had to face Arkansas & Texas on the road, both of which are top 50 in offensive scoring so far this year.

I think Georgia is better talent wise and experience wise, but if you look at quality of opponents I'd actually say Alabama might be better overall.

I feel about the same. I’m having trouble figuring out how much to value Georgia’s win over Oregon. This is the hardest year I can remember trying to figure out how to stack the teams in the SEC.

I figured it would come down to the secondary. The problem opponents are going to have with our O is finding ways to get pressure on Hendon. And even then, dude slips out and sneaks it up the field for 20 yards or finds that outlet receiver so quick. The only flaw in his game I’ve seen is the way he takes hits and slides like a newborn giraffe.
The funny thing is while we are using tempo is not like we're doing it all the time. We've mixed things up and have used tempo opportunistically. So too you're point,I think with how we've mixed things up this year, defenses are always in 'react' mode and just have no idea what's coming next.

Add improved o line play, rb play, the ever present fear of the big play....

We're hard to stop. Even for great defenses.

I'm excited to see how we do against UK and UGA. Both have good/great defenses and very good/great defensive minded head coaches.

Chess match continues....🍊

OK, let me express a little BVS. Did anybody watch the Bama game replay last night on the SEC Network? They do the announcement after a Bama score, “Due to time constraints we move ahead in the action” and omit a beautiful Tennessee touchdown. Subsequently they spend ten minutes on the 3rd down or 4th down officials debate. Who edited this? On a positive note they did call out the offensive pass interference committed by the Tide’s #7.

Bright side of our secondary is almost all will be back except Flowers next year and we are bringing in a ton of guys. D Line will still be very good and only lose a few. Banks, Mitchell, and Page gone at MLB. But Beasley, Perry, Herring, and others will be just fine. Defense will be better next year.

Offense loses more talent. OL loses Carvin and Wright. Big losses but Elerbe is the damn man. Hooker is gone, Huge loss too but Heup has talent behind him especially with Nico coming in. Wide out will be fine, Tillman gone but we have been without him anyways. All running backs return.

And if the 24 class is a top three class this thing is being built for the long haul. Back to back 10+ win seasons will be a very welcomed change.

Thing is Georgia lost a lot, and then this year they gave up 22 to Kent State and on the road at Missouri. Both of which are terrible offenses. Had they beaten Oregon in week 4 or later then I'd be impressed, but opening the season it's less impressive to me at least what they did there.

We will be the best offense anyone faces if we're on their schedule. Georgia will have not been tested one time before we roll into town. We could go off on them like we did LSU (a good team that also hadn't seen a real offense until we showed up).

Looks like the Crawford v Spence fight isn't happening now. Bummer. Would have easily been fight of the year. Here's hoping it happens in Q1 of 2023.
