Because I have been tasked to police your ridiculously whiny, unwarranted and star gazing defunct school of thinking about recruiting.

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. I believe in development. You don't. I am being proven correct. You continue to throw your little crib fits.
Dislikes whining. Yet whines. Good stuff.

For the first time this cycle, I have to say I have a level of concern with the recruiting rankings. Going by average if OM picks up their RB they are expected to, we would be around tied for 15-16 in average.

Now I know with the transfer portal and given our on the field results, that is kinda stupid to fret over. But I feel like for our on the field results, I would expect 2023 class to maybe be a bit more top 10 competitive.

No worries so far over 2024 which ik people will point to as evidence recruits are taking notice, but I think 2023 has surprised me a little in recent weeks that we haven't caught a little more traction.

The only reason Ga has a chance against us next week is because of talent. If we had equal talent to Ga this game would not be competitive. Kirby isn’t out coaching anyone.

We have the coach. Get us the talent and see what happens.

The only person whining is Newt.

We have a good class. We all want a great class. Landing Hobbs and Ramil will certainly get us down that pathway.

Some of us are just surprised that our year isn’t having more of an effect on some uncommitted prospects and also prospects who are committed to crappy schools like NC, Memphis, FSU, AU, and some others. That’s not difficult to understand.

Thankfully ‘24 is going to be a tremendous class barring something crazy happening.

Next year is a keep-things-patched-up year with transfers from the portal that want to take advantage of our recent success and get drafted on a team vying for championships. That’s ok and we’ve got enough young talent to keep this engine running hot. Just give it time.

EXACLTY. Fant runs a mid 4.5 forty or did before bulking up. Dude could definitely run the ball as well.

I would be SHOCKED if Fant is anywhere near mid 4.5 right now. Probably 4.6-4.7 right now. He is a good gadget piece as a ball carrier. He is not a RB that you give carries to throughout the game.

There are lessons here from NFL free agency. Big spending doesn't always equal success. Have to find that right balance between talent, character, development and strategically filling holes. I feel pretty confident in this staff's ability to manage that.
This staff is definitely looking for a certain type of "character". They don't want culture busters.

Get out the taser

Sabbath babyyyyy! Would be epic if they came out to that song!

Then at the end of the game, as we are leading Kensucky 77-0, they could play:

Oh they say that it's over
And it just had to be
Oh they say that's it's over
Poor lost children from Kentucky
Look out
The sky is falling down
Look out
The world is spinning round and round and round
Look out
The sun is going black, black
Look out
It's never, never, never coming back
Look out!!!

🤘

For the gamblers in the room, is all the money coming in on Kentucky? Looks like the line is down to 11.5 now.
Not a gambler...but it appears to me that people are betting heavily on Kentucky to cover.

I don't gamble, but when that 14 pt spread initially came out I thought it was way too high and I figured it would get bet down.

I don't think many smart gamblers are betting on UK winning.

Agreed. I think if you're not starting a new band it's kind of pointless to rename. Mandolin Orange is such a unique and good name, Watchhouse is so generic and seems out of place for their style...but not my decision.
Mandolin Orange also kind of sets the expectation that their music is always going to be somewhat bluegrass or folk and they wanted to get away from that from what they've said in an interview I heard. It makes sense in some way, but I thought the music they made under that name fit it. I admittedly have not listened to any of their newer stuff to see if they're moving away from what they used to do.

I love it when they are watching outside the stadium and the fireworks go off before the kick is complete on TV. Still gives me goosebumps.

I was there in that environment. And it was so amazing doing that the entire game. Fireworks going off right before we would see what happened on the TV.
