Heupel sure doesn't sound like a guy who's looking to go anywhere. He sounds like a guy who loves where he's at, is excited about what they've accomplished, is confident about where the program's going and is already planning how to get there. IDT he's worried about getting what he needs at UT.

I really hope Kirby tries to play man on Saturday. Unless you have 3 NFL corners it ain't gonna work. Even with 3 it wouldn't work all the time. Kirby is gonna be way to aggressive and Hyatt is just gonna run right by everyone again

I actually don't think he will. I think he will do what they have been doing all year and is working pretty well.

If they sit back, then we are going to have to run on their front, he will be planning to stop our running game with as few defenders as possible. UGAs talent up front makes that very possible.

Never even thought of that. How can a defense communicate while we're on offense if their fans are being so loud? Do we even need to communicate verbally with our offensive scheme?

A lot of people in Ohio have been telling me they are rooting for the Vols. I think there is room for any non Bama/UGA/UF frans on the bandwagon. If people want on the Tennessee bandwagon from these schools, they probably aren't actually fans of these schools.

I'd call Oregon a real offense, but that was in the first game of the season and it's really the only good offense they've faced.

So hard for me to take this seriously knowing Bo Nix is their QB. It really makes me question how soft PAC-12 defenses are.....

I don't think that they're wrong.

We have to overcome the environment and their athleticism.

They have to overcome some injuries and our offense.

Bud's approach is smart - go all out blitz on UGA on defense, hopefully force mistakes. At the very least, stifle their strong OL and run game, and make their QB and WRs play perfect. Note: This has really been our plan on defense all year anyway.

Try to have as many possessions as possible, win the game scoring in the 40's+


Danny brought up a good point too - if we go up like we did on Bama, UGA doesn't have the offense (QB) that Bama did to lead a comeback

Exclude the Bama game with multiple injured wide receivers and an all-time defense. I like that they gave up 35+ in every game and 40+ five times. I think the defense they run is designed to beat down inferior offenses with mediocre quarterback play that is common in cfb. Still, this UGA offense is good enough to play in a shootout. That’s why the matchup between our D and their O is key.

It was over for us if we had 1 loss.

The “good” thing about this game is, even if UT loses (a close game) the Vols can still win out and make the playoff this year. One loss to UGA won’t kill the Vols.

I still see a Vols victory Saturday…….

I forgot who said it but they pointed out that like burrow in 2019, hooker already graduated so just spends all his time studying the playbook.

It is such an amazing change in conversation from the pre-season to now. Pre-season we had conceded Bama and UGA as losses. We had all but conceded UF and LSU. Most middle of the road fans would have been happy if not thrilled with an 8-4 regular season with wins over Pitt, KY, Scar, and Mizzou to go with the cupcakes (Andy included).

Now, here we sit a mere 3ish months later. We are 8-0 heading into the UGA game. We have already beaten 3 of the 4 teams that we had conceded as losses pre-season. We were just ranked as the #1 seed in the first round of CFP rankings. Our "retread" QB from the ACC is on top of the Heisman watch. We have the #1 offense in all of CFB. Other fan bases are remembering that they hate us above all others. At worst we will finish the season at 11-1 but there is no reason to concede anything to anybody anymore. UT just has to keep doing what they have done all year. Go out and play the next game and play our game. Don't try to be something we are not. There is nobody that would beat us twice in a season if we had to play twice. We are a well coached team that plays hard for each other, the coaches, and the hongriest fan base in the country. I don't care what happens the rest of the season. This has been an amazing year so far and I am just happy to be able to be a part of it. We have suffered long, but our time of suffering is ending. We may have ups and downs in the future but they will be small. We will be winning 10+ games consistently under Heupel and nobody can stop us.

When I was a kid, there were hundreds of kids everywhere! My parents always ran out of candy but Dad had rolls of quarters. He’d unroll them and they’d give each trick or treater a quarter after the candy was gone!

I think it'll be a shootout like Bama. For the first time ever though, they have to play a near perfect game to beat us as long as we also play to our potential. Usually we have to hope they beat themselves, but this time we have to beat ourselves or they have to play perfectly in order to win.

I just don't see Bennett as anywhere near the QB that Bryce Young is.
