I really do not understand the one-sided narrative that is being pushed. Georgia had arguably 3-4 plays that were the difference in the game.
52 yard pass that set up their 1st TD. (Bennett should have been sacked on 3rd and 10, instead scores a TD.)
75 yard punt that was downed at the 1 yard line. (Georgia gets short field and scored on 37 yard TD pass.)
49 yard wheel route to a RB sets up Georgia's final TD.
138 of Georgia's 387 yards came on 3 plays. We had 7 false starts and gave up 6 sacks. We had a pass intercepted in the endzone and a turnover on downs basically inside the red zone.
Honestly, I think Georgia could not replicate this kind of performance again. We did more damage to ourselves than Georgia did, IMO.
I see your points and can agree with most. I just can’t see the logic for a 2 loss LSU to go in over us when we destroyed them on their field. Of course, I don’t want to leave it in the committee’s hands so I’ll be pulling for uga in the championship game as well.uh, i wouldn't be so sure. OSU has been 1 or 2 in any poll that's existed this year, and i don't think they remove that team from "one of the 4 best" because of 1 loss at the end of the season to the #2 or3 team in the country.
OSU and Bama kinda get that hall pass in that way. it took Bama losing twice before people relented.
i think OSU and Georgia are basically locks. Michigan is a lock if they beat OSU.
for our purposes, i think it's best for Georgia and OSU to win out....it removes the possibility of the decision to make bout a 1 loss OSU, and that's all that should matter. remove the ability for the committee to make that decision. i feel the same way about LSU and the SEC title. that an argument can be made for LSU over TN despite TN beating LSU is enough for me to say "go dawgs"
chalk for 1 and 2. TCU lose. and it won't be bad if UCLA, USCw, and Oregon pick up a loss a long the way for insurance purposes.
we have a very good chance to make it.....i'm not overly concerned because there's so much football left to play.....
i held on to some serious hope well in to the 3rd qtr, because the game was never "out of reach" if we could just get that couple plays going, get a TD and make it a 10 point game....once it got to 27-6 headed to the 4th....at that point, it got difficult. lol.I completely understand it. That game was over in the first quarter, regardless of what the score was. I knew immediately we were in for it
i can't either. but we aren't on the committee....lol. so yeah, just take the option away....agreed. go dawgs. ew.I see your points and can agree with most. yep, michigan's schedule is garbage. they absolutely need to win that game to get in.If Michigan loses then what argument is there to keep them in? Who have they beaten? I think their ooc schedule will come back and bite them if they lose.

OSU has been #1 or 2 for so long, i don't think they'd get booted out of the top 4 with a loss, despite not having an awesome resume themselves.
Either team would look around and be able to say this much:I do not believe that the loser of the OSU/Mich. game is eliminated. Especially if it is a close game. Expect the losing team's narrative to begin unless it is a blowout. It is more likely if OSU loses that the narrative to let them in will begin.
True.. the Sugar Bowl is a big deal.. Sugar Vols 2022 editionIt really sucks potentially making the CFP kinda diminishes the value of making the sugar bowl if we get left out, but at last it's still a monumental achievement for Heupel and the program. It's important not to lose track of where we've been the last 15 years and how far we've came in just 2 years.
The future is bright.
what diminishes the sugar bowl is that it is gonna be played at 11 a.m. local time on Saturday, Dec 31. that's just inherently wrong. It really sucks potentially making the CFP kinda diminishes the value of making the sugar bowl if we get left out, but at last it's still a monumental achievement for Heupel and the program. Playoffs suck. Diminishes all the bowls and the tradition of college football.what diminishes the sugar bowl is that it is gonna be played at 11 a.m. local time on Saturday, Dec 31. that's just inherently wrong.
still, i'd be happy about going, but the Sugar Bowl is supposed to be played at night. period. prime time game. move it to Monday Jan2. or play it Friday night. Saturday morning???? meh.*
*commentary about the time slot, not about us potentially going
i mean, ok, if that's what you want to go with. but none of us would have balked at going to the sugar bowl before the season, and while things changed expectation wise during the course of the season, i still would be excited to go to New Orleans for the first time since the '91 season.......so if we don't get in to the playoff, send me to NOL.....i'm ok with that.Playoffs suck. SECC should always play in the Sugar Bowl

I thought the same thing. Hope there weren't any kids in there. I assume no one was injured badly, probably whiplash.Wow...he never even said anything about the people in the minivan...I wonder how bad they were hurt?..as jacked up as my spine is, a massive impact from behind like that would probably leave me paralyzed.
