We need some things to happen to insure that we make the CFP, but style points will also be important. We need to try and put up 60+ in these last 3 games. That might prove difficult against Mizzou, but we need to look like the most dominant team in the country the next three weeks and try to get the #3 spot in the playoffs.

Pawl also said he doesn't see any amount of $$ pulling Heupel away from Tennessee right now. Says Heupel knows he's in a good spot.

White has to sit down with Heupel and the end of this year and discuss a pretty good raises. Drink making 6 million and Mizzou and Sunbelt Billy making 7.1 at UF and Heupel at 5 million? That’s not gonna cut it.

This is a bad take. The NCAA and coaches surely aren’t hungry, making millions off the backs of collegiate athletes. Why should capitalism be void in college athletics? These young men/women have the right to utilize their talent for monetary gain.
If you don’t think that Alabama was paying players before NIL you are either naive, ignorant or just an idiot.

Great thing about being a Tennessee fan, we are good at everything. There is no off season.
Since 11/14/21 we are 61-5 in home games in football, men’s basketball, and baseball. That’s an 0.924 winning percentage. All 5 losses occurring in baseball.

Edit: 62-5. 0.925 winning percentage. Forgot about our basketball win Monday night.

Just listened to Golesh's post-UGA Q&A and it really sounded like he believes that our issues were pretty much pre-snap penalties and execution. He complimented their players, of course, but I got the distinct feeling that he didn't think we were out talented by UGA but that we were out played, especially in terms of not being disciplined enough prior to the snap. (Even when I was watching it live, I knew x drive was going nowhere after a false start bc we have struggled all year regardless of the opponent whenever there's a false start on the drive. I think our offense is either hyper sensitive to plays building upon one another or maybe our players are. Regardless those types of penalties stalling drives completely has been such an issue all season that whenever they happen we might as well hand the ball over because the possession rarely goes anywhere after one).

At any rate after listening to him, there's no question in my mind that the staff firmly believes we can beat UGA if we execute AND that UGA really didn't do anything schematically that cracked the code of our offense and stopped it -- they simply played very good football while we failed to execute on our own end. I came away feeling like he believes that if we erase those penalties and keep doing what we've been doing that our offense will absolutely work fine against UGA.

Obviously, I want us to make the playoffs and get our rematch but until I listened to Golesh my thinking was that just making the playoffs is a win for the program (don't worry about the outcome becacuse there's still a big talent disparity between our roster and theirs). After listening to him, I believe we can win that rematch. At least as far as the offense is concerned, our coaches don't think talent is an issue (they would never say that outright even if they thought it was but it's clear that Golesh doesn't even think it's an issue at all).

I agree. I also don’t like hearing the score would have looked worse if Kirby hadn’t slowed it down in the second half. There’s a reason he played keep away. He wanted to limit our possessions because he knew we were one or two big plays away from getting right back into it. The score was a perfect reflection of that game - it was not “worse than the final score.”

When asked about if Tennessee had a focus and buy in like Georgia and Bama have, Josh Pate hinted at Heupel potentially making staff changes. Said there were coaches before that held out and now the pool is bigger for Heupel to have an elite staff. Then Pate pointed to recruiting as being a main factor in potential moves made. Found that interesting
