I think you could argue that the 13s game-winning FG-drive against Bama was a Heisman moment. Granted it was only 2 passes, but if one of those miss, we aren't even in FG range.I mean...can anyone argue that
6 receptions 207 yards and 5 TDs in primetime against a top 3 team that had beaten you 16 straight times going into the game is the best Heisman moment of the season for any one.
I'd argue Hooker's best Heisman moment came earlier against Florida. 78.6% 349 passing yards, 2 TDs 0 INTs, 112 rushing yds, 8.6 ypc, 1 TD
Honestly I'm not sure why Hurd returned for 2016 season. I think both parties should have just left it after the 2015 season. I was at the opening game that year for App State and it was obvious Hurd didn't want to be there.
I think Butch was a manipulator and a terrible coach, but Hurd made the grown decision to come back for 2016 and if for no reason other than that and playing for his teammates he is more at fault for quitting imo.
I get he wanted more under center stuff, but it's not like he was bad before that. He was still on a path to be drafted even in Butch's offense. He thought he would be used a different way, have a great season and head on to the NFL. It was a faster path to his goals if it had worked out -- and UT could have benefited, as well. Didn't work out that way.
