I get that, but he had 2 full seasons with Butch. Did he really think in one off-season the entire offense would be changed to utilize him differently when Dobbs was still here?
I'm sure you heard same as I have from teammates, but Hurd was one of the "me" guys on that roster.
Yep. Two best teams no doubt. I was at the game and the crowd / environment was worth at least 10 points. Need to get them on a neutral field.
Sorry, some of us will not accept fact optional agenda driven drivel as an acceptable alternative to factual discussion. YOU shared a very strong declarative statement about the game situation that has been replayed many times that was not correct and even now trying to minimalize your error in order to embellish his. There is a fact for you. Do you really think PUSHED was an accurate reflection of the contact that ended that play? Yet another agenda driven word choice. You can't put those bullets back in the gun any more than he can. At least he does not live in denial.
Not sure what exact conversations transpired between Hurd and Butch... but there was all-around friction that built. Any time a player raises concerns about repeated concussions and his health, it's a sensitive issue. Resentment builds when teammates think certain players get preferential treatment, and some players are "me" first. UT had another one portal out last year-- and in today's climate, I agree that Hurd probably would have left before his third year.
@GiggerVol moves to the edge of his seat.Is your wife breastfeeding? Sometimes her diet can affect the baby via breast milk. My friend's son was basically a nightmare for her for the first 3 months of his life until she found out he had a milk allergy which was being triggered by her drinking milk/creamer and passing it on to him when breastfeeding.
Pushed, bumped, elbowed, ( shoved is probably too aggressive a description based on what I saw. ) Nudged is probably too light, escorted, there wasn't much contact as I recall, and he didn't go down as I recall. No major contact with either a shoulder pad or helmet - what very strong declarative statement are you referring to ? This is getting more play than the guy in the grassy knoll that allegedly shot Kennedy. Perhaps you guys have hashed and rehashed this in the past, my apologies for missing that discussion if so.
Since I am also not tracking your cycle - my apologies if this was a bad time of the month for you - seems you are a little overly sensitive regarding very small insignificant items. Water over the dam - but tell Joe, the idea with time expiring is to throw the ball into the endzone before you encounter defenders and possibly get sacked, tackled out of bounds or chased out of bounds as the clock runs out.
So you are saying…. We should fire a bunch of our coaches?Offense in year 2
from 39.3 ppg to 47.4 ppg
from 257.1 passing yds pg to 348.2 passing yds pg
from 218.2 rushing yds pg to 195.5 rushing yds pg
from 73.2 plays pg to 74.8 plays pg
from 475.3 total yds pg to 543.7 total yds pg
Defense in year 2
from 29.1 pa to 21.9 pa
from 273.2 passing yds pg to 288.4 passing yds pg
from 148.5 rushing yds pg to 104.2 rushing yds pg
from 77.8 plays pg to 73.8 plays pg
from 421.7 total yds pg to 392.6 total yds pg
So massive improvement on both sides of the ball in year 2, and from a talent standpoint we might be 2 good cycles behind the bulk of the SEC still.
