He IS one of us. I've said it before...if I were to be concerned about Heupel ever leaving, that concern would only be about the NFL; I don't see him EVER leaving for another college job...and, the NFL really doesn't concern me at all, neither.

I truly believe that Heupel loves Rocky Top as much as anyone ever has, period
I believe whenever he talks about Rocky Top, which is ALL THE TIME, it is genuine, and not just bullet points and selling cars.
He ABSOLUTELY recognizes that UT can be a place of dynasty, that it is without equal, and the greatest college atmosphere in this entire land. It's Camelot; and he and Danny White are taking it to an even higher level.
I just hope he gets that cough looked at.

I take offense to that.
My kids were born in Texas.
Two greatest states by far are Tennessee and Texas. I’m going to have to take up for little brother.
Which Waffle House are you partial to?

😎

Did 15 years in DFW.

The people are awesome. Have a lot of good friends still. Great place to make money. If you cant get a good job there you are unhirable.

But as for the aesthetics, its complete ass. Traffic is soul crushing and it is a soulless concrete jungle.

Central Texas is pretty but Austin sprawl is destroying that. Big Bend is a treasure and Padre Island is nice if you can drive far enough down.

That's about it. For a state that big, that's not a lot of good good. Overall it gets a D.

Governors roll into regular-season finale with No. 8 Crimson Tide - Austin Peay State University Athletics

Let's go Peay! What a way to wrap up the season. Beat tough, hard scrapping FCS teams like KSU on the road and then go dominate the soft, entitled Crimson Tide at home.

Trap game for the Tide. Week before the Iron Bowl.;)

Rumor is that Young might not play. Not gonna change the outcome, but maybe it won't be 70-3:oops:

One of the managers who reports to me is recently hired and a Columbia, SC native. Being that we were not sure he had experienced the full breadth of East Tennessee hospitality yet, we adorned his desk with a number of welcome to Tennessee gifts this morning.
That looks like every place I've ever worked since 2005. Man, I'm glad I telecommute and don't report to Cube-landia.

I started in Cube Landia as well but have my own office now. This guy will also get his own office soon, but I feel your pain.
Oh, make no mistake. It's the land that sucks. Not the cubes. Even the offices suck. The generic, institutional design of every major corporate facility... ugh. lol

I barely remember Secretariat. I was 7 years old in 1973, but my Granny watched every race and I watched with her. I remember her going on and on about Secretariat and I think I remember that and probably not the races themselves. Great post.
I remember tears of joy rolling down my face as he pulled away down the stretch and blew away the field in the Belmont, to win the triple crown. One of the most memorable sporting events in my lifetime. He was the Wonder Horse.

Question for season ticket holders. When is the best time to for a first-time season ticket buyer to purchase? Should I go ahead and bite the bullet now or wait until spring knowing the availability may be lower? Thanks in advance for any advice.
