South Carolina is a bargain basement program. I doubt seriously they would spend the money for Briles or if Briles is dumb enough to work for Beamer.
In coaching circles there is lots of talk about turmoil on the SCjr staff. Beamer was not SCjr first choice. They hired on the cheap.

I wonder if assistant coaches get tired of his Magoo schtick.

People are assuming Barkley's "surprise firing/ hiring Deion" claims are about Jimbo, but what if it's actually about Pittman? I think it'd be more so a mutual decision than a firing, but Arky seems to have peaked with Pittman. How much better can they realistically be if they struggle making a bowl with Briles and Odom?

I don't think Primetime is going to make it in the SEC, but if your thought is that him at HC is going to significantly elevate your recruiting then Arky makes more sense than A&M.

I mean I don't think it'd be a "surprise firing" of Jimbo. And if not for the massive buyout it probably would have already happened.

Arkansas, Jerry Jones, Deion Sanders...wouldn't surprise me at all. Of course that would also potentially leave Briles looking for somewhere else to go, not sure if Sanders would keep him around.

Any Talk Of LSU Making The College Football Playoff Is Utter Nonsense

TLDR, LSU ain’t winning anyways, but if they do, then the blueprint was laid in 2016 to not let LSU in.

The example given in the article about Penn State 2016 is so similar to this one:

11-2 Penn State won the Big10 and missed out on the playoffs to an 11-1 OSU team who Penn State beat in the regular season.

Penn State lost to an ACC team (Pitt) on the road by 3.
Penn State got THRASHED by eventual #4 Michigan at Michigan.

OSU only lost to Penn State.

Now, Penn State even had beat OSU and STILL lost out on the CFP because they had 2 losses. LSU doesn’t have this luxury.. they got THRASHED by the us at home.

The CFP committee has already laid a blueprint for a 2 loss conference champion to get left out over a conference foe with 1 loss and didn’t go to their conference championship. And our situation is even more strong than OSUs was in 2016. They will have to consider this if LSU won.

Now, that being said, LSU isn’t winning so whatevs.

Steele is a tank but there's no guarantee he translates to the SEC. He won a state title with Tayven Jackson so I won't be surprised if they link up this off-season in the Big10.

If you know for sure you want them, jump on board now. I do that and call the ticket office almost every couple months to try and get better seats as they become available haha

Also they have a payment plan you can take advantage of if you jump on board early
