Think it's safe to say USC will cruise to a Pac 12 championship lol
They should though. The most talent and now arguably the best or 2nd best coach.

I do genuinely hope USC returns to national prominence. Great for the game whenever a blueblood returns.

I'm no foosball coach so idk, but if you bring pressure you need to be dang sure you finish it or else he'll break off a huge run after huge run. Simply bringing any level of pressure won't be enough and may be counterproductive.

My question is how much you trust your spy. I just don't know if we have a good enough spy for him this year.

Tough spot imo. But it definitely appears their rushing and AR rushing is their strong suit. It'd seem you'd force them to beat you through the air...but then there's your secondary.

Nm I give up I'll trust our coaches 😅
He's a match up problem for sure. And I think it’s gonna require a lot of discipline to maintain gaps and fill running lanes. The zone read is definitely back in play. Our defense is gonna get tested in that game for sure.

Good news, so is theirs.

In the end, our offense is probably our best defense.

Pitt vs Utah who wins
Neutral field I'd take Utah by 3-4

Not much impressed me about Pitt, though Slovis was a bit better than expected. But their HC will want to keep running it to their demise.

Utah would've beaten UF at their own place.
And Pitt probably loses at WVU.

Looking forward - how badly are we FSU fans tonight? On one hand I want to see them fall flat, coach fired, take Simmons. But I feel that will happen regardless of tonight's outcome.

Otoh it's more paramount that LSU is straight garbage, so we can deck them this season.

Hopefully both look awful.

I definitely don’t trust sitting back in zone with one of our linebackers spying. That didn’t work against ole miss last year.

Be aggressive and dictate.
But to be aggressive you have to have the athletes. And with our D being on the field so long, you have to have a lot of them. You have to work with what you have not just demand they play the way you want…like Pruitt. We’ll see how the coaches decide to handle the situation.

Watching the Ball State game again, way too many short throws to the opposite side of the field by our offense, against better competition half pf those passes would be picked

Prob won’t run *as many* of those vs faster defenses. But it was Ball State. Hooker did just go through almost an entire season of taking snaps and only throwing 3 INTs

When you look at mobile QBs against us last year even having a QB spy didn’t help a lot when we deployed it. Look at the Ole Miss game. Yes, Corral did a lot on his own with improvisation, but they also did delayed QB draws that absolutely gutted us. They usually got the center into the 2nd level to block Banks or Beasley who was spying and then Corral just ran behind the center and was getting 10+ Yard chunks at will, rendering our spy useless. It’s going to have to be a team effort and I would guess we go zone and say beat us through the air.

I wouldn't mind seeing both LSU and UF dropping games before we play them. Both teams will fold after an early loss . I won't be looking forward to either game if we drop the Pitt game and both LSU and UF are undefeated when we play. It's never as easy as we think preseason .

Just like last year, everyone on the board is starting to look past Pitt…
not at all. Important game for us from momentum standpoint. Pitt didnt all of a sudden get bad and we got to be world beaters.

But its clear where the real battle will be. Pitt is a big gme but we havent beaten our biggest rival in years, its time.

No more excuses, no ragrets. Its time to win the big ones we can win(including Pitt).

Yeah. I don't like the match up for us. They've gotta solid defensive line and are @ home. Pitt has a damn good WR that none of or DBs will be able to stop. I just hope we outscore them in a shoot out.

The worry about either game is for two reasons.
1. We were pretty vanilla on both sides of the ball because we could be. So there’s still a decent bit of unknown about us.
2. It’s apparent from watching the Pitt and Florida games they both present a stylistic challenge as both look to be more physical than we did, and both at times, showed varying degrees of promise on both sides of the ball.

Good news.. they both at times, looked very pedestrian on both sides of the ball, and because of the opponents they played it’s reasonable to say we know more about them than we do us right now. But make no mistake, we’re the matchup problem.

I think it’s hard to project both games. We’ll know a lot more after the Pitt game.

Lol, it’ll be a full meltdown if we fall to Pitt.

To be fair, it’s a meltdown whenever we lose to anyone 😂

we talked about Pitt extensively on Thur night / Friday. We know next game is important… but we’ve watched other games since, with one being the UF game, so now we are talking about UF. It’ll come back around to Pitt shortly.

probably true, all of those teams look pretty evenly matched at the moment. The one player that is the difference maker out of that group is Anthony Richardson
