Hendon will need to run 10 maybe 15+ times to beat Pitt and Florida.

If I’m Pittsburgh I’m picking on 4 when on offense.
Man anyone that plays offense is gonna pick on #4...Just hoping 1 or 2 of the younger guys or transfers just someone anyone can step up to the plate.I hate to just pile on one player but he gets the burnt toast treatment on a regular and any good qb/Oc coach is gonna eat him alive.

The worry about either game is for two reasons.
1. We were pretty vanilla on both sides of the ball because we could be. So there’s still a decent bit of unknown about us.
2. It’s apparent from watching the Pitt and Florida games they both present a stylistic challenge as both look to be more physical than we did, and both at times, showed varying degrees of promise on both sides of the ball.

Good news.. they both at times, looked very pedestrian on both sides of the ball, and because of the opponents they played it’s reasonable to say we know more about them than we do us right now. But make no mistake, we’re the matchup problem.

I think it’s hard to project both games. We’ll know a lot more after the Pitt game.

Pitt got killed on the ground by a rebuilding WVU team. I know since it’s a national narrative that they are so physical but they got gashed on the ground and on the flip side they could not run the ball at all.

5.6 YPC is what the Pitt defense allowed and their offense averaged less than 2YPC. Yikes. That’s hard to do.

One point I want to make is that with all the spying we did, and all the runs Corral made, we still had a chance to win the game. We may not win the game, but we will definitely be in it.
With the offense we run will always be in the game but we just need the D to step up and make a few plays help them out.The defense will be critical this year those guys are going to have to show up big for us our offense can't do it all.

Pitiful as it seems, down in the replies it said video was taken late in late when UCLA already had game in hand and on the sunny side of the stadium. Also doesn't help thei stadium is no where near campus. However none of this would deter most SEC fan bases form; at least maintaining 50% capacity till the end.
Ask Saban about his student section 😆

I think better at-home viewing experiences are even affecting how long people stay at games. It's like "well we're up 4 TDs...we can beat traffic and see the 2nd half in 108" 16k".

Idk if everyone has seen the VOLS ambulance we’ve been posting, but we will be driving it to Pitt this week. Spyre Sports is hitting the road! Can’t wait. Who all is going up? We’re going to have a tailgate Saturday in their gold lot 2 I believe with the ambulance and I’ll get everyone the details so we can take over Pitt.

I get it. But that ypc is bumped up because of a couple really big runs the got.
Like I said, at times they both looked great. Other times, very pedestrian.

If they double 4, we will tear them apart. You cannot leave Hyatt or Bru one and one. They will run right by. I bet they play two high safeties most of the game and let us take short throws. Our wide receivers are very good and extremely athletic. Very underrated group in the country right now. I don’t think the Pitt game is close. We’re too athletic on offense. Defense just needs to get some stops and I think they will.

Yeah that same roster had Bama on the ropes. It would be naive to think they're suddenly not talented.

I think it will be an interesting game, but if we can hold AR (big if) even halfway from running all over, imo they can't keep up with our offense. We won't be kicking FGs like Utah did.
But if AR eats up yardage on the ground, it will be a one score game either way.

For the first time in a while, I just don't see a world where we aren't in it till the very end.
Utah lost the game, UF didn't win it. So many different plays went UF's way. . . the fumble at the goal line, the UF fumble bouncing back to UF, Utah's QB taking a crap down his own leg 2 or three times, fgs instead of tds. . .

We eliminate just a couple of those type of mistakes and we win, even with AR having a good game.

4 on our defense. Sorry for the confusion.

Release the squirrel 🐿

But to be aggressive you have to have the athletes. And with our D being on the field so long, you have to have a lot of them. You have to work with what you have not just demand they play the way you want…like Pruitt. We’ll see how the coaches decide to handle the situation.
Hopefully Mitchell has improved quite a bit. Beasley looked good. If they play their assignments right, we should get more stops than not.

We need to bring pressure on AR. Hit him early and often.
Disagree. He thrives on blitzing that doesn't get home and creates lots of open field to run. That was exactly what we tried to do last season and why we were terrible vs running QB's. You hold your gaps and keep his butt in the pocket. Then you change up your coverages and hope to force him off his initial read and try to throw into windows in coverage. Will he hit some. Yes, he is talented. Will he make good decisions and throw accurately consistently the entire game? I think that is much less likely. In the open field we got no chance of slowing him down. If we let him make hot reads and let them dictate his throws by passing when the down and distance is in their favor.... won't be good.

That's the other thing... Our defense doesn't have to be absolutely lights out. 3-4 stops (by any means) that allows our offense to get up 2-3 possessions... That could be the difference.... In any game we play...
