Vols WR talked about the “real football” stuff from Kentucky week. Really cool listening to him talk about his personal relationship with Heupel too.

How are we not paying Josh Heupel 7.5 to 8 million a year. I mean he was the 11th paid coach in the SEC in 2022. At least at 7.5 million he would be in the top 5.

He was also a draft dodger
Not trying to start debate, just honest question: Where is the line drawn between draft dodger and contientious objector? Ali actually reported to the location when he received his papers and refused to sign citing his religious beliefs as an objector. It wasn't like he tried to evade it. I think of a draft dodger as one who doesn't show up, hides from it, makes excuses, or pays a doctor to make up a physical impairment.

Personally, I have a hard time condemning those who avoided Vietnam in hindsight both for how awful it was and the questions surrounding whether or not we should've been there in the first place.

Sometimes draft dodgers are right/noble. I have great respect for the Russians draft dodging the war in Ukraine right now for instance.

Omly going into his 3rd year and imagine the criticism White would've received if he'd started his "buddy" off that high.

Absolutely a personal preference, but I'd go Monterey/Carmel. I've been to Yosemite twice and lived in Monterey for about year. Beautiful drive down the coast. Carmel is a neat town. Seventeen Mile Drive is awesome. Can't go wrong with either.
I loved them both..but Yosemite Valley is a winter wonderland right now while the NoCal Coast is a yucky mess..right now.

If it was a different time if year with only two days I would definitely do the Monterey to Big Sur drive.

And yes 17 mile drive is spectacular...as is Point Lobos on the other side of Carmel bay...I loved the village of Carmel as well. Point Lobos is even a little more spectacular than 17 Mile drive imo.

You guys think we are done in the portal now? Werent they looking for another edge/DE guy? I know Upshaw from Michigan committed to Colorado.
Someone said something about maybe a second DB?

Maybe they'll add some players after spring?

Otherwise I think they covered about every need we had!

I just wish we could have gotten Marshawn Lloyd

LA Vol said we're basically in a "one in, one out" scenario. With players no longer able to put their name in the portal until after spring practice, I'd say we're done temporarily.

If you're more than 60 to 70 feet up...it doesn't really matter how much higher you go except that the chance of feeling the impact is much less, the greasy spot is bigger....and you have a lot more time to contemplate the end of your moronic life as you hurtle toward the ground for more than a few seconds.

When I was about 13 and had moved up to Babe Ruth ball we were playing a team from Bowling Green and they had this big kid that looked like he was 20 but was around 16 that could hum it. He was warming up between innings and I was the next man up and the catcher looked me and sad be careful he is wild as hell.......he could have rolled up there on the ground and I would have ducked swung. Big fun talking about it now but then......welcome to the bigger league fella.

When I was in the military I was stationed at Lakenheath Air Force Base in England. I played 2nd base for our baseball team and we traveled around Europe playing other Air Force bases. One team we played had a pitcher who was in Triple A ball when he joined the military. Dude was really good but his catcher was even better. He would tell you what the pitch was gonna be so you could get ready for it. The problem was that he kept telling me the pitcher was gonna throw a curve but he actually threw the heater every time and I just stood there looking at it :p:p:p.

I can't wait to see the defense next year. As long as our young edge rushers take a step we should be pretty nasty.
After the Vandy and Clemson games I've had a pretty strong feeling our defense is going to surprise some people next year.

Brining back almost all those guys who destroyed the ACC champs and now we've added Pili, Norman Lott and Jeudy-Lally?

Depth, experience and talent at every position now.
