Read a few articles on Kendal Briles and his stance with Arkansas right now. Does he stay? Does he go? The thing of note though..all started talking about possible replacements if he left and none of them mentioned Loggins.

No one saw him as a viable option as an OC at Arkansas yet South Carolina comes running and “steals” him as a “big hire”. Oh boy. Nice work, Shane.

I think that factors into the hilarity of it all. SCar fans had convinced themselves they were getting Briles, then they get the guy that brings Briles his coffee.

Hire him as what? Head janitor? Lead groundskeeper? I'm not sure I believe 4 other teams were looking to hire him as OC.
Anyone who's so bad as an NFL OC that he gets demoted to college TE coach is not worth getting excited about. I can't wait to see USC come back down to earth. They had their good season with their butch Jones likes we did, now the slow steady decline begins.

Which would you all choose for the Orange Bowl? Looking towards the future and all...

A) Milton goes 12-25 for 120 yards. Hits one big play, misses the rest. Sampson runs for 120. Other RBs average 5 ypc and OL cleans up in the run game. Defense balls out and holds Clemson to 20 points. UT wins 27-20.

B) Milton goes 22-30 for 330 yards. Hits multiple big shots. Runs for another 50 yards. Our running game via RBs struggles vs Clemson's big men. Klubnik goes off and embarrasses the defense that struggles all night. UT wins 44-37.

Class observation per SAV (me):

DL: Excellent
LB: Very good
DB: Very good

QB: Excellent
RB: Average
WR: Very Good
OL: Good

Scale:
Excellent
Very good
Good
Average
Bad
Very bad
I'm perfectly fine having average skill players on O, such as at RB. That is truly not an issue.

Would happily trade a "very good" on OL for "average" WRs though. Our OL was really really good in our big wins this year. Just another reminder how critical they are, even in this offense.

Just gimme a stud defense...a QB and OL. The rest will truly work itself out.

Excited for Hyatt...

Ced could have helped his stock having a good game in the bowl unless he's still dinged up...

Squirrel gonna need to step up and catch everything thrown at him in the bowl game...

Sorry, but with who we've just lost and who's in the portal, we need at least one elite or very experienced WR pickup in the portal ASAP...
