Wow, I didn't realize we missed on every recruit this year........ How do you that and have zero fallback options? Did we misread the room? I just don't understand how you can miss on EVERY recruit.......

That kind of sounds like a last straw before firing offense. Something has to change because as I watched that game last night the only three active players were Jackson, Horston and Walker. If they're all gone this is a mediocre roster at best next year...... And in this league that puts you in the cellar.

If that's the case then pull the scab now or at least after the season, a lame duck coach can't recruit for next year either.

In today's game? I wouldn't take Bradshaw personally. I'd want some one that could throw it all over the field with accuracy and Terry being a career 51.9% with only 2 more TDs than INTs tells me for the style of offense I'd want to run he'd be a liability.

Joe Montana is a pretty safe bet...high completion %, low INT ratio, proven winner in big game moments...

But I'd actually take Steve Young or Aaron Rodgers if all other thing are equal (OL, skill players, and defense).

Young: 64.3% and just 2.6% for INT % (same as Montana)
Rodgers: 65.3% and just 1.4% for INT % (lowest in NFL history for a career)

Both can also run when needed. Rodgers has over 3400 rushing yards with a 4.8 YPC and 35 TDs. Young had over 4200 rushing yards with a 5.9 YPC and 43 TDs.

So for me at least

1a. Steve Young
1b. Aaron Rodgers
2. Joe Montana

I get the numbers, but it's a drastically different game today than in the '70s. Starting with Bill Walsh and the "West Coast" Offense, the passing game became more consistent. Just look at the great QBs in the NFL prior to 1980. The numbers are horrible based on today. Schemes and the fact defensive backs were allowed to assault receivers, caused a lower completion rate and TD/INT ratio. They also didn't throw 5 yard slants and bubble screens every other play. They threw the ball down the field.

Montana I get, but Rodgers? He's at his worst in the playoffs.

Does Tobe Awaka remind anyone else of Jarnell Stokes? His strength for a freshman is amazing. His hands and ability to never be knocked around is top notch. Also has decent touch around the basket and is an underrated defender simply because he cannot be moved. To think that he and Zakai came from the same place with such little fanfare is amazing to me when you analyze their games and productivity per minute.

He’s having an abnormal year, but 78% win percentage over 13 seasons or so with 4 final fours is about as established as you’re going to get. Louisville isn’t Tennessee either in WBB obviously so maybe this year will make it easier for him to move on and potentially take the Tennessee job. Tennessee could put him over the top and he could benefit Tennessee as well obviously. Still rather young at 51. Known as a good recruiter.
Who I wanted last hire. Never got a satisfactory answer why we didn’t even try…cept Fulmer and blue hair.
