I hate the off season for any sport…it’s tough being in here…we revert to talking about each others pooches and wether they should have clothes or not…let them wear whatever they want. what I will question is some of these basic training bowl cuts you give these poor babies and expect them not to get picked on at the local dog park.

Just curious, what was Coach Pat Summitt’s record her first few years?
I remember when I was at Tennessee, the narrative was that some didn’t think she could get over the hump and actually win a national championship

Coached Tennessee for 13 years before winning a national championship.
Year 3 made AIAW semifinals (ncaa didn’t take over until 1982)
Before they won a national championship:
Knocked out of tournament 3 years before final 4,
Made 4 final fours,
Was runner up 3 years

I remember her being called the brides maid never the bride coach. Just couldn’t win the biggest game(s). Until she did and then all those narratives went away. Then as she continued to win, she became the greatest ever (she always was, just took others a while to realize it).

Just think if the AD had been impatient and moved on to another coach

I am a huge Pat Head Summitt fan. Always will be.

Everybody wants their money and they want it now! I don't mind waiting, as long as we're pointed in the right direction and moving that way.

Yeah, she's gorgeous! She's prettier than Keough, imo, just not as...idk. I guess it's the singing and performing that gets me. I've dated a couple of lead singers in rock bands before, and everything about them is right up my alley...the look, the talent, the personality, the way they carry themselves, even their volatility. Creativity (especially musically...singing/playing) plus looks, throw in a bit of crazy and fire...Ole Sugar is like a puppy dog.

My first thought was it is an opinion from a high school coach so how much does he really know. I mean some on here have coached high school, and their greatest contribution is to find coaches to fire so…. Plus, who is going against the first team defense?

I do and have for nearly 40 years but that doesn't mean I can watch one scrimmage and make grand pronouncements on who the QB should be. I was at Troy watching them scrimmage the same day. Saw some good stuff and some bad. Know that for part of the time they were calling off a script looking for specific things. Good HS coaches go to those things to learn and maybe pick up a drill or two.

Needs help with offense. A good assistant coach could be the answer. Current recruiting help too.

She replaced assistants to help with recruiting but it didn’t seem to help much…. I wish they could get her enough help… I would love for Kellie to be successful.

Hearing a lot of this from the scrimmage, makes me wonder if we will actually have a qb battle or if it will take Milton struggling in a game or two before we will finally turn to Nico

That was my take a way, this might be more of a QB battle than we all wanted or expected.

Eh, first scrimmage. Not necessarily worried at the moment. We also don’t know if Nico was against 2s and Milton against 1s.. etc.

Does make me excited for Nico regardless though. Whether that’s this year or next.

Oh sorry I left that out. He said Joe was 1’s and nico 2’s. Yeah if his decision making and accuracy is there already. That’s really high hopes
