Find the Western Diamondback and win a prize! (jk about the prize.)
I must have just missed stepping on the little guy this morning. Never saw him until my wife pointed him out a few minutes later.
Cool story bro time. I have seen the photos and heard bits of the story first hand.
The wife of a first cousin on my wife's side of the family had gone to FL to see family over Easter. She heads to the airport to come home to find her flight is delayed (imagine that). So she hangs around by the gate bored out of her mind for a couple of hours with others who are heading back to Knoxville. They are all worn out and grumbling. A tall, good looking, nice, young black man, (she's white, matronly, about 60 years old) strolls over and asks her if she is as bored as he is. She laughs and tells him she needs to get back to Knoxville to see her grand babies and take care of her handicapped husband since she has been gone for a week. He laughs and asks her if he could sit with her while they waited and she tells him of course, she would enjoy the company. They start having a conversation and talking about family, the trip down there, and so on. She asks him where he worked in Knoxville or did he go to school. He laughs again and gives her his name.
It was Joe Milton. She said she nearly fell out her seat since she is a big Vols fan. That's when the photos started getting taken. They had a great time getting to know each other and exchanged phone numbers.
They finally arrived back in town later that evening. About the time she was walking in the door to her home, she got a text from Joe asking if she made it home OK.
What a guy. Class act. What a blessing to be Vol fans with who is wearing the orange.
That’s an excellent example…. Jay Wright develops skilled offensive players…. Barnes typically has a team made up of really good athletes with a basketball player or two….. Look at Wrights last championship team…. He had 6 double figure scorers with 2 of them at 17-18 ppg….They shot 50% from the field and 40% from three…. We need to start developing a better offensive system with better offensive players.
That is a cool storyCool story bro time. I have seen the photos and heard bits of the story first hand.

I'm hoping Milton wins the Heisman this year. He seems like a great representative for the BIG ORANGE and I'd be proud if he was UT's 1st Heisman.Cool story bro time. I have seen the photos and heard bits of the story first hand.

I'm also on board for Big Joe to lead us to a SEC Championship and playoff spot. GBO
Admiral wasn’t a Barnes recruit…. He does get a few that he can develop offensively but fills around them with extremely limited offensive guys…. Your point about Villanova was a huge stretch…. That team beat 2 1 seeds, a 2 seed, and a 3 seed. They beat everyone by 20 points( Oklahoma in the final four by 40 points…. The only close games were #1 seeds Kansas, and North Carolina in the title game. The lowest 3 and shooting % was upper 56-58% except the game you mentioned…. I would be ecstatic with those kind of performances even if we lost to a number one seed like Kansas.Barnes developed Grant, Admiral, and Bone into skilled offensive players. It’s not like he’s immune to it. There is a YouTube video that explains our offense during that last year with Grant, and you will see concepts that exploit the defense with a faster pace. That team even lost in the SS. Haven’t seen a whole lot of it since. I think if you privately asked him, he thought he recruited more like that recently, but they never really panned out. So, he has to adjust. Kennedy Chandler was one exception. Just too much inconsistency.
In Wright’s first championship run, Villanova beat Kansas 64-59 to go to the FF. They shot 22% from 3 and 40% overall but still won. Even those teams struggle in games.
Pulling even harder for his success.Cool story bro time. I have seen the photos and heard bits of the story first hand.

Tyndall recruited him and Barnes kept him and SIGNED him and was the only Vols coach to COACH him. Let's not bury ourselves in minutiae here.Admiral wasn’t a Barnes recruit….
