Saw some interesting early FanDuel lines that had us +7.5 vs gawgia and -6.5 (!!!) at gators..which is more surprising??
-6.5 should be higher. UF sucks. They only avoided an ugly scoreboard last year because some garbage time silliness and did so with a 1st rd qb...good luck not getting BLOWN OUT this year 😅

+7.5 is very reasonable vs UGA imo. We were 11 or so at their place last year and failed to cover. I'd take that as respect for us, given B2B national champions and top-3 classes for 4+ years running. Can't believe I just typed the former 🤢🤮

It's not too late but the boys need to look at these numbers and get pissed.

You must Walks plus Hits per Inning Pitched it.

Now Walks plus Hits per Inning Pitched it.

Into shape.

Shape it up.

Get straight.

Go forward.

Move ahead.

Try to detect it.

It's not too late.

Admiral wasn’t a Barnes recruit…. He does get a few that he can develop offensively but fills around them with extremely limited offensive guys…. Your point about Villanova was a huge stretch…. That team beat 2 1 seeds, a 2 seed, and a 3 seed. They beat everyone by 20 points( Oklahoma in the final four by 40 points…. The only close games were #1 seeds Kansas, and North Carolina in the title game. The lowest 3 and shooting % was upper 56-58% except the game you mentioned…. I would be ecstatic with those kind of performances even if we lost to a number one seed like Kansas.

Regardless of Admiral not being a Barnes recruit, he is the only coach who developed him at UT. That’s irrelevant in the conversation where we are talking about Barnes developing offensive players and scheming the offense around them. It’s not like Barnes has never had good offense.

We got away from the original subject, and I will leave it at that. Barnes does not take transfers that are our leading players and develops his own players. You stated that affects his tournament resume, and I disagreed. Developing top 75-100 players and letting them get experience for 2-3 years has shown to be a way to win titles. Maybe other coaches preach more offense than defense…fine. But it can work.

That’s an excellent example…. Jay Wright develops skilled offensive players…. Barnes typically has a team made up of really good athletes with a basketball player or two….. Look at Wrights last championship team…. He had 6 double figure scorers with 2 of them at 17-18 ppg….They shot 50% from the field and 40% from three…. We need to start developing a better offensive system with better offensive players.
100%. Jay’s system was phenomenal. He looked for a certain type, talented player but not one and done. Kept them in the system for 2+ years and boom results with sharpshooters everywhere

If we only beat Florida by 7 points this year, something has gone terribly wrong.
We lost to USCjr by 25 last year and the season went terribly, insanely, unfathomably well. We sat at #1...my post-2003 brain still has trouble wrapping around that.

Crazy things happen in single games...doesn't mean something has gone terribly wrong.

Just please dear god let's keep our heads cool if Heupel doesn't somehow miraculously pull off B2B 10+ win seasons after 15 years of crap football. It will not mean something is wrong or "needs to be fixed". It means we started from the bottom and it takes time to build a sustainable machine. And part of that will be the big increase in talent just now reaching campus, but also heading to Ktown in the near future. Patience, whatever happens. We got a DUDE at the helm. And that DUDE said emphatically, even after 11 wins, "we're just getting started".

Did not know Golesh got Todd Orlando to be DC. I’m very excited to watch USF games this year. Their spring game is tomorrow at 7pm
Orlando’s stock dropped big time since his time with Herman or even our last DC search. This is rep rehab for him imo. I agree he’s a big get for Golesh in the process.

I remember seeing Saban say something like “this is the beginning” after winning the 09’ championship. Heupel channeling something similar? Recruiting looks way better than it did starting off, that’ll be the key in it. Will Tennessee recruit Elite top 5 level or will it be hit or miss? Hopefully we can have 25% of that success at the least. Saban made it look terribly easy over the years.
