Dooley was EASILY the worst coach of my lifetime (and I'd say the worst HIRE all-time...a losing La Tech coach...Hammy I blame above all).

Pruitt had more blowouts than any coach in our history and left a cheater and us in deep waters with the NCAA.

Butch may have had the most punchable face, cringey, and a shiz human being it turns out, but was miles ahead of the other two. 2015 and 2016 were actually really fun and 2015 was easily our best team since 2007 (actually better than that team, but I get folks will prioritize a division winner and that's cool) right up until last year.

This time in recruiting reminds me of the early Fulmer days, when we first began attracting 4- and 5-star talent from outside the state. Exciting, heady days!

Interestingly, Fulmer did it by attracting or creating outstanding offensive linemen, behind which we could then attract the best RBs and QBs, and against which defensive linemen could be prepared for the next level.

What I think will happen and what I hope will happen with Prime are two different things. I hope his ship burns before leaving shore. However, in the PAC you can be a SEC level bottom feeder and win 7-8 games a year. So I expect the idgit media to help him succeed for awhile before he leaves for "health reasons" with great fanfare by his loyal lapdog media members. AFLAC, ducks and so forth. For the "Jimmies and Joes win games" crowd - he's going to get them for awhile until parents figure out he's all about self promotion.

Very well said. I believe everyone just loved the alure of Dooley. The way he performed at the press conferences won a lot of people.

I remember when Butch Jones was here recruiting was pretty good. However, Heupel is taking it to another level. Unlike Butch, Heupel doesn’t have an ego to get in the way.

I actually think Butch was too thin-skinned rather than too egotistical. His lack of self-confidence looked like ego because he bristled when criticized. One has to have an ego and strong confidence to coach at a place like Tennessee or Alabama or LSU, etc. because you’re under such a microscope. Heupel is a former successful QB. His confidence comes from within. He has an ego (in a good way). Saban has an ego. Urban has an ego. I don’t want a coach without an ego, as long as he channels it the right way.

Butch seemed to need external validation and shrunk under pressure. I think that was his biggest problem. His confidence was fake. Josh’s is genuine confidence. Kids pick up on that and it bleeds down to them. They play with confidence. They make plays under pressure (End of the Bama game) vs. folding under pressure (Oklahoma 2015, Florida 2015 & 2017).

Butch had some good attributes. He worked hard (unlike Dooley). He projected enthusiasm. But ultimately, he just isn’t big enough for this job.

I think it has to do with expectations…. After Kiffin bailed…. Expectations were low and Dooley matched them…. After Butch’s great recruiting classes… expectations were extremely high and he always underachieved.

So we need basic information to answer your query: length and width of water mark on the ceiling, does the ceiling sag where it’s wet, does it appear to be just wet or is it also discolored?

Once we have that information then it’s a simple matter of plugging the data into the following plumbing physics equation.

{(LxW)2/sag coefficient +\- discoloration corollary } the quantity divided by the time the watermark was noticed in hours then squared and multiplied by the standard plumbing leak Pi variable. This will give you the aqueous temporal dispersion effect to a 99% sensitivity and specificity.

Agreed. It sucked that Butch was not big enough for this job. The 2015 & 2016 teams gave everyone confidence that this thing was getting going again.
