Exactly. But people are angrier at the guy who won 9 games 2x and defeated rivals/went to bowls than they are with the guy who never had a .500 record because he never recruited any talent, while the former did, but underachieved with it.

They’d rather win 5 games with 5-win talent than win 9 games with 11-win talent. It’s bizarre.
You make some pretty bizarre leaps in logic to take it from "I hate butch more than Dooley" to "I'd prefer the win totals of Dooley over butch." Posts like this make me lose faith in our society if you really and truly can't translate a not all that subtle meaning from a statement.

100%

Dooley was EASILY the worst coach of my lifetime (and I'd say the worst HIRE all-time...a losing La Tech coach...Hammy I blame above all).

Pruitt had more blowouts than any coach in our history and left a cheater and us in deep waters with the NCAA.

Butch may have had the most punchable face, cringey, and a shiz human being it turns out, but was miles ahead of the other two. 2015 and 2016 were actually really fun and 2015 was easily our best team since 2007 (actually better than that team, but I get folks will prioritize a division winner and that's cool) right up until last year.

By far the worst and most embarrassing hire of the debacle that was Tennessee Football post-Fulmer.

By miles and it’s not even close.

After witnessing what an F2 did to my inlaws home and the impact it continues to have one them, I don't see how deliberately placing yourself in the path of a tornado can be glorified.
It’s basically an extreme adrenaline junkie hobby. Similar to Alex Hornold and other free climbers going up cliff faces with no safety equipment. They have done some good things as well. Professional Storm chasers have helped our understanding of tornadoes tremendously over the last quarter century.

I don’t think it’s that bizarre. Butch blew opportunity after opportunity and then had the gall to go after the fans for it and spew platitudes about being “champions of life” while totally squandering exceptional players. He’s also responsible for the worst season in the history of the program and, after that, to bleed the university of as much buyout money as possible he washed Nick Saban’s car for a few years and taunted us after Alabama dragged the program that HE left in shambles up and down the field. As though we’d done him dirty by firing him and giving him tens of millions of dollars to go away. He was and is a snake and watching him fall flat on his face at Arkansas State is delightful.

But speaking only for myself, I’m far angrier at Hamilton than Dooley or even Butch. This job was way too big for a 17-20 Louisiana Tech coach. Hamilton is the principal person responsible for the tailspin of the 2010s

Japan had no interest in Russia. They had no real interest in the U.S. Pearl Harbor was more about trying to discourage us from entering the war, but they misjudged our response. Japan wanted Asia and the Pacific. The Axis powers weren't really as allied as the Allies were. Specifically, Germany and Japan each had their own goals that they worked toward separately. They didn't really work together. A joint attack on Russia would have been an anomaly.
One of the 'leaders' was a bipolar schizophren, who's plan was to eradicate all those with Jewish ancestry, Endoslung der Judenfrage. A relatively small, somewhat landlocked Country requiring massive importation of resources - requiring fear tactics and a perverted sense of Nationalism to motivate itself.

German engineering, far superior to anything else at the time - lacked resources, manpower, and really was - doomed.

The other, 'led' by Centuries old traditions and hierarchy. Itself the perfect balance of precision & warfare. Again, reliant on other Countries for importation of resources, had it not been for that very thing!- likely would have succeeded in its goal to take over the Pacific area of the globe.

However, their 'divine' leader, the god-man. Hirohito was just that. A man. The fallibility and insane ideas that spring from thinking David can best Goliath, are perversions of reality.

With every Japanese soldier dead, every battleship sunk - so was the inevitability.

In essence, the delusions of grandeur blurred lines of reason. One truly taking power, himself on grips of insanity. Other, holdover from Centuries ago. Society adhering to a perverted ideology that their winning is divinely inspired. Doomed for failure from get go.

not much of a plan.

My wife and I were supposed to come up to Knoxville today but came up early on Friday to visit with my aunt who is very ill. We are all pretty down about it but I decided at the last minute to get tickets to the UK game today so we’d get to do something fun. If we fail to get the sweep today you all can blame me for being bad luck.

Agreed on Japan, but Hitler and Germany were really darn close to taking over all of Europe. That one was not doomed from the beginning.

Why can't Ja have a gun? I thought this was America

Other than the fact that he may need a mental health eval, no reason he cannot have a gun. He behaves irresponsibly with it and makes 2A advocation all the more difficult, but he is Constitutional entitled to own a gun otherwise.

"IF" Hitler hadn't split Army Group South on the way to the Caucuses, things might have been vastly different. Stalingrad was the battle that really changed the war.

True. It just seems like people are going out of their way if they spotted this last video. A very forced story to force him to go on a apology tour.

And if he's not abiding by local gun laws like having a gun in a bar in states where that's illegal

He is a moron but if he messes up and a gun is involved then he should deal with the consequences. Gun owners should be responsible with the power they are granted and prepared to face the backlash if they behave irresponsibly.
