Smoky mountains are a lot better. You can get in the sun or have plenty of shade. You can swim and fish and jump off cliffs. The water is cold and mostly clean compared to public beaches. It's not crowded. And you can explore trails and find hidden spots to relax for the day. You don't have to worry about something hiding in the murk, waiting to sting the piss out of you or bite you in half. . . and you're usually always within a couple hours of Neyland/downtown Knoxville. Then you have Gatlinburg & PF if you wanna do tourist stuff.

I feared the day I'd enjoy a round of golf...I'm slowly becoming my uncle, grandpa, and mom all-in-one (yes, my mom is 3x womens champ at Rarity Bay...and she only picked up the game 5 years ago!
