While I dont want to take anything away from it, and the people who like rings like this...SEC Champions/National Champions, only rings I care about. Never been a fan of big, huge rings for winning something other than conference or national titles.

I am fine with it, rings mean all the players/staff/coaches can have a trophy for their accomplishment.

Nice post from the BB Forum. That's a shame

Bediako staying in the draft. Big loss for Bama who also lost Brandon Miller, Noah Clowney, Jaden Bradley, Nimari Burnett, and Noah Gurley.

They could also potentially lose Mark Sears, Jahvon Quinerly...both to the draft. They've not done much in recruiting or the portal to curtail those losses, either. To top it off, they had to replace their entire assistant coaching staff.

Next year should be a testament to Oats's coaching ability. It will take perhaps a small miracle to make the NCAAT. They potentially lose their top 6 scorers, and perhaps 8 of their top 9.

Thornton or Okoye, if I had to guess.

I’m not confident I could manufacture any WORRY over Okoye’s academic eligibility. One he’s Nigerian and their students translate well abroad and two he’s way too raw to see the field imo…even on special teams. Haven’t heard any stories on Thornton.

The problem they have is that they are front runners. They get down on themselves when there are unlucky moments and it piles on itself all game.

A&M's strike zone is about 4" all around bigger.

Makes it easier for them to hit against our zone and harder for us against their zone. The ump continues to antagonize TV.

A guy with a terriible ERA throwing a perfect game against us in a single elimination spot would be a very tennessee thing to happen.

And yet...the Sugar Vols are so named for their Sugar Bowl victory, not their SEC Championship. Just saying.

Hence SugarCC...that is the night I fell in love with the Vols. Again, I'm not trying to take away from big time bowl wins; 86 Sugar Bowl, the Orange Bowl...two of the biggest wins we've ever seen. Yet, the 1998 team is so named National Champions. As awesome and big time as the Sugar Bowl/Cotton Bowl/Orange Bowl/etc were, those victories are still a huge notch below a National Championship, imo.

Win those Bowl games and receive their glorious trophies, and that's it...Conference/National Champions deserve something all their own, trophies AND rings for their players.

Not to mention the motivation factor it has to have...it would for me, anyway.
